PSA: Try to be understanding

I’m not risking someone losing their mind at me for trying to help. This community has a lot of obstinate, angry people who do not want to improve in my experience. If I provoke nothing, I will have a smoother run.

Any reason is a valid reason to kick, per Blizzard’s current ruling.

Disagree, if the fight is a dps race, Low dps will always be a problem

the most valid reason I’ve seen for kicking someone is “lul” blizzard just doesn’t want to deal with it so they ignore why people sometimes get kicked back before personal loot people would get kicked just for being on the wrong loot table

Blizzard opted to make vote kick about player agency entirely.

If a majority of the group wants you gone, you’ll get gone.

yeah because it would cost money to police its the same reason so many websites shutdown their comment section entirely

It’s been this way, relatively unchanged since WotLK.

I’m aware of this

It hasn’t suddenly become a problem.

Never said it did

So what’s your problem?

why do I have to have a problem?

I suppose you don’t, but;

this seems to imply you have an issue with how vote kicks are used.

I do my best to be understanding in randoms. If one DPS is way lower than the other two we are probably going to clear the dungeon fast anyhow. Might even toss a few tips if I have a chance.

Now, if all three are doing THAT bad, I’m probably just going to leave. As I’d rather not try to run a training session on the strengths and rotations of three classes in a random run.

I’m not going to VtK over DPS though. If people are contributing then they are contributing. If it’s not to my own liking then I have the option to leave.

People who want to kick in a leveling dungeon are a-holes. Dont care who it is and yes, I mean you too. If they are afk or doing nothing, fine. But if they are participating, then there is absolutely no reason… but wait, what about meeeeee???.. “Absolutely no reason” to kick someone in a leveling dungeon. Especially the beginning of an expansion where gear will vary wildly for everyone. I dont care if your a mythic raider or an lfr raider or non raider. You are indeed the a-hole if you vote kick in this content

In a leveling dungeon I am far more lenient, but if your dps means we’re hitting enrage timers or getting overwhelmed by mechanics, you’re gone.

Here’s the thing. I actually agree with this statement. (Except for extremes, like someone being a nuisance or AFK for a protracted time.)

The problem arises when you start to force others to prescribe to this ideal. The vote kick system gives power to the group as a whole to vote kick based on the needs of that randomly matched group. Maybe the majority of this group agrees that the DPS is an issue.

I like how it’s always “be nicer, except to tanks”.

Personally, I think V/K shouldnt be an option in levling dungeons. Raids only. Maybe M+, but its not a pug so you might be able to remove someone anyway

Tbh that low dps guy is playing his level content. People just don’t care right now.

Season will start and hopefully it will get better for everyone.

The tanks are not going to like you even this gently implying that anything could possibly be their responsibility in a dungeon.

It is their kryptonite.

People be like “The tank went fast” and the forum tanks need to break out their feinting couches and react dramatically.
