Only started this quest 2 days ago and no storms since all servers have the same spawn
Same they forgot to actually make the game work… just made random spawns… like 2 earth 1 fire next spawn 2 fire 1 earth like this is the game designers we have?

isn’t this type of mentality exactly what casual’s don’t care about? It used to bother me I admit, but FOMO is all in your head at the end of the day.
I don’t think “casuals” are one unified group, much less could be said to have one binary opinion such as do care/don’t care about one specific thing. I do think it’s pretty normal for WoW players to want that piece of proof that says “I was there” at the turning of the seasons (read: launch of a new expansion) though, and that’s something that has held true for me personally throughout my WoW career, both when I was a filthy casual and when I became more serious and now that I’m somewhere between the two.

Regardless of how many days there were for the event, RNG is still a cruel mistress, and the Dimmed Primevals are not a guaranteed drop. The people at Blizz could have made the items a 100% drop once, and then you don’t get any duplicates. But nope, RNG is king.
Or gosh, you know, put up a vendor who can trade your duplicate Earths for a single Storm or something, if they’re going to do such a poor job of letting people get the drop in the first place.

They could leave the vendor up and sell the items for the event currency. They could even make it so you get the achievement for making the trinket as well.
Is it removed with this maintenance or does the pre-patch event still go on till launch time?
I did it the first week just incase i never know i wanted to level for lore armor or a new class at starts level one
The 1st day, within a few hours I had the trinket. All the elemental bosses have been up each day at some point multiple times. I have so many left over peace’s of each type on all 40 of my alts, it’s not funny. I wish I could put them on the AH to be sold.
Not to sound cliche, but “it’s the principle of the matter.”
This is the “we’re listening” expansion, and they kick it off with a busted launch event despite being told about it before it went live.

I’m about as casual as it gets. I play infrequently, inconsistently, and don’t complete the highest tier of content.
That’s why things like this are so important to keep folks like me paying a sub. It’s something I can log into, participate in, and get a little something for my trouble. Nothing major, but this should be something that doesn’t require a consistent playtime like Mythic+ for example, where you aren’t successful unless you put in the time for developing the gear on your character.
If there is nothing at all for ‘casuals’, we’ll leave, and that’s a big chunk of easy money Bliz will be missing out on which = the game suffers.
This event could have been such an easy win for Bliz and it’s a big mess.
Ya the last good pre-launch event was Legion imo. As for the trink, it would not surprise me, if they eventually tossed it on the heirloom vendor to be bought with gold, or time walk badges. I mean it’s not like the Garrosh bow heirloom you got from soo raid in mop anyways.
