Do people not know they can use LFG tool to kill boss multiple times back to back when it’s up?
Easiest way. Can kill a boss every 5-10 min until you get everything you need.

this - i levelled 6 characters, geared them all in 260+ (main is 300ish), and had so many of the drops it made me wish they weren’t soulbound so i could give them to people (sometimes you can, othertimes you cant)
that all being said - i was done getting all my toons situated like 3-4 days after the event started
If they can’t get this done in two weeks then they don’t really play enough to need this trinket anyway.
That’s not really the issue - the Storm Invasion hasn’t been up for like 2 days, according to General Chat.
I just finished dragging 20 level 50 toons through invasions over the past 2 days, and never saw wind either. (I got them to 54, not 60 lol. Used their rested exp)
But I also finished the Heirloom on Day 1/2, so it doesn’t affect me.
Meh. I see both sides of the issue buuuuuuut. There is no denying that the event would have been objectively better if the rng that determined which event would spawn had a simple if/then statement preceeding it.
Node 4:
If node 1 and 2 = earth
Then Node 4 spawn rng fire, storm, water.
A similar statement would be in place for each element at each spawn node.
There would still be RNG and dupes but at least 1 node would be weighted to off-set it. It’s seriously minimal programming effort and vastly improves the event for all participants.
They set up 4 invasion points - Tirisfal never spawned on live servers.
They should have had all 4 be up, with them just rotating which element was at which location, but all 4 always up.
Try 3 earth 2 times in a row!
Yesterday Area-52
I got this done for my wife’s account within 8 boss kills yesterday afternoon. When I was about halfway, I realized, shoot, “she has alts, why am I only doing this on one character?” so I started doing it on two characters.
Took me all told about 2 hours of playtime, she gained about 4 levels on two characters too.
Glad they all spawned for you yesterday. Storm hasnt spawned at all today. Cant complete if it doesnt spawn.
Once again no storm. FFS. Guess I’m not finishing this unless it’s up first thing in the morning.
You couldn’t bother logging in for an hour between 12 days?
well i gotta get to bed.
the element being an independent random spawn is dumb
My man, some of work stupid hours because we have to survive. So no not everyone can do that; It may sound unrealistic to you but that’s simply the case.
Doesnt matter if you log in for an hour each day if only 3 of the 4 are up at a given time and for some reason one of them isnt spawning.
clown designers . no surprise. they hire any engineer out of devry
Its such a dumb heirloom trinket that scales to 49, the haste one would still be better
They can’t even make a fair algorithm to spawn Storm element. Whoever said “LeTs JusT RaNdoMize tHe EleMents” is an idiot
You all had 12 days and regardless your “I work from 6 am to 11 pm” scenario’s that probably doesn’t even exist
One of those days you had time to do something
I’m hoping that Blizz notices they’ve botched the storms and open them up before Dragonlands launches. I’m done… but many others are still looking for this last element.
If you got all 4 items needed to complete the trinket in a short amount of time, YOU WERE LUCKY. I know people who have killed the Storm boss 20 times and still don’t have it! I have been able to kill it 3 times, no Dimmed Primeval item.
Also, Wowhead shows the drop rate at 30%, which only counts people who are using whatever logging Wowhead uses. https://www.wowhead.com/item=199838/dimmed-primeval-storm And that is a small percentage of all people who play WoW. Considering some people have gotten multiple Dimmed Primeval Storm items (some guy bragged about having FOUR!), that will inflate the drop rate.
I would be interested in Blizzard’s statistics on how many people do not have the trinket because they missed one required item.
