They would have mentioned a potential hotfix if they were going to do one. You’re being way too lenient on Blizzard here.
They don’t always announce that right away, they try to fix the issue first. This has happened before and we’ve always gotten the currency.

Well, I was trying to take you seriously. I can see I made a mistake.
I didn’t say they can “barely put stuff on the launcher”, I said it takes more time than tweeting.
If this is their plan then they need to come out and say so. Right now its a pr %^&% show because they messed up and have said that they will not refund anything. Instead they tell us we should have known better when it was players who discovered the problem, did the trouble shooting and posted a psa to warn others before Blizz did anything.
I have no doubt with the amount of people that are leaving that something will be done but by then it may be to little to late.

There have been several people who have posted about canceling in the last 12 hours as well as others just leaving until shadow lands. And yet more in my social circle who have logged off and never came back for raid.
Who’s to say. With the bnet problems on top of this, it will be hard for blizz to tell what is causing the loss.
If it costs them more in players leaving then it will to fix the problem something will be done otherwise nothing will.

It’ll surge again at prepatch and then surge huge at launch.
True but it has given the push sooner which is a net loss for blizz.
I have no idea what it looks like from their end but if we see a hot patch / apology within the week we know enough people quit and gave this as their reason.
At this point their best bet is just to leave BfA to die and continue to push everything into SL.
Once Alpha is out interest will pick up again. I know i’ve been playing other things waiting for alpha info.
Addendum to the PSA: You should log onto ALL of your characters that have rank 3s before attempting anything that rewards Echoes.
I logged onto Yukine, who has all but one of my rank 3s, and opened the chests. No Echoes. Logged onto every other one of my characters with chests and they had Echoes. Go back to Yukine and she can happily collect Echoes from greater Visions because one of my alts has a rank 3 that she’s missing.
It’s because they apparently put a switch in that says “once you have all rank 3’s on the account stop collecting” so that you would collect a bunch of useless currency.
So until you logged on to that alt, the game thought you had all your rank 3s.
Yeah, it’s pretty obvious how they coded it. But that doesn’t match what we were told. Even their delayed warning says you just need to log onto a character with rank 3s. Not all of them that have a rank 3 you’d like to learn someplace else.
