One of my posts got removed today and I can’t for the life of me figure out why. Unless they saw me saying I save scummed something as an insult? I didn’t call someone scum and the word isn’t censored…
Save scummed means you save before a major choice so you can change your mind after you see the result.
Rhielle and I typically don’t agree but she’s right on this one. The censorship bandwagon needs to settle down. The forums aren’t that serious. Go take a walk.

No, because the downvote button only meat that you didn’t like the post, it didn’t flag the post for review as spam, threats, or as inappropriate.

That’s why. People cried about it, they didn’t like that people could visibly show an alternate opinion.
The downvote button buried posts and mods still had to either sanction it or restore it.
And yet… Downvotting and Flagging a post were both a thing when Downvoting existed.
It didn’t make any difference, they didn’t even respond to my ticket until there was 1 day left on my suspension, and I submitted the appeal ticket the first day of it.
the proper solution to that problem would have been to simply change downvote to be nothing more than a button, just like likes are now… instead of removing it entirely… players shouldn’t be given the power to hide other players posts by any means.
Agreed. Hiding posts was a bad idea. Blizz removed it entirely, because they wanted people to actually talk about and explain why they didn’t like it. Clearly that didn’t work out so well.
false flagging straight up silences the account now. it’s been done to me.
with downvote atleast the person could still post on the forums
My posts in here have been false flagged and restored. Two were deleted, but no action taken, because they weren’t against CoC, the mods just thought they’d cause a ruckus. I was never auto silenced. Never have been.
There’s an option for trolling, including the term “upsetting”, which is 100% subjective.
So anything can be reported “legitimately” based on that.
Thus why the reasons for reporting need to be reworded. It’s all a vague mess.
For people that want to keep flagging as a downvote…
That uses up precious community manager time.
They have to go look at that post, and make a moderation decision. Which distracts them from other tasks.
Flag things for violating the rules, not because you don’t agree with them.

You cant flag posts when youre banned. That alone is good enough.

Sure but why should people that abuse the system to silence because they disagree about something and not because its an actual reportable offense continue to have the privilege? Better to just remove it from them so the mods wont have to deal with as many bogus reports.
