What’s a Prot warrior like to level? Questing etc? I was watching a 64 warr quest today and they actually killed stuff pretty quick…devastate spam I believe. Anyone know what they are like as I have an ally warrior I’m wanting to level from 60-70
I have a 60 Warrior I haven’t played since like p2, but decided to try him out in pit lands just for fun. Killing was pretty slow, but felt like I could kill all day. I was in pretty average gear though and using a Quel’Serrar, so I’m sure it would be much better with even an outlands green.
Pure Prot spec or a leveling hybrid? Pure Prot spec is a slow way to do it unless you just spam dungeons… Just takes forever to kill. With a hybrid spec you could swap to a two hander most everything and sword and board for the nasty stuff. That’s not a bad way to level.
I level a war in classic as prot with no problem. In tbc I’m leveling slowly when the rest bar is up and shield slam and revenge hit hard (like 400-500 ish) so its not that bad and the rage cost is cheap. I ended respecting to arms/prot (33/0/21 so far) because a two hand weapon and cleave make it faster and still can tank well dungeons.
It’s not fast, but it’s not bad. Dual wield devastate spam and gear like you’re a rogue when in the open world.
