Doesn’t produce TBC gem types. When prospecting is suppose to.
- is this working as intended
- the data isn’t in the game yet to create them
- a bug
Prospecting thorium is suppose to have a chance to create a blue quality tbc gem.

Prospecting thorium is suppose to have a chance to create a blue quality tbc gem.
It’s supposed to have a very low chance to prospect GREEN quality gems.
We’re talking 1.66% chance per gem.
Is it possible that you need to have greater than 300 JC? IE: only possible for draenei.
No. Its suppose to prospect blue tbc gems at a small chance.
After prospecting over 5k thorium, not a single one was produced.
There is no blue on any prospecting chart from that time period I have seen.
Blue starts at 1% from Fel iron
So another thing that private servers got horribly wrong? Wonder how many people stockpiled a thousands of thorium, hoping to get rich. Only to find out they’re holding a bag.
this keks my kek
Even “illegit” databases only have blue gems coming from Adamatite ore and Fel Iron ore
Don’t know what backwoods messed up private server he was testing on.
if you were getting blue tbc gems from thorium, then yes. It doesn’t even make sense.
Thorim will still go for about 15g a stack on prepatch.
Whoops sorry. I meant the TBC greens. Not the blues. They dont prospect.
Thorium has never produced blue tbc gems nor the green ones.
It’s fel iron and addy upwards.
This - I even checked on NW it doesn’t there either.
The reason to have stockpiled thorium remains. It’s not for TBC gems. It’s for vanilla gems like blue sapphire, etc., that are needed for leveling JC.
Also, remember, you cannot prospect for Arcane Crystals. I might have prospected like 20 stacks of Thorium back in the day and learned this the hard way >.>

Theft servers are so cute!
Pretty sure there is already a breakdown that proves this is untrue. Most of the “guides” are low effort stolen content from 15 years ago. They prioritize lists of materials that are accurate, while ignoring much cheaper yellow or even green recipes that can still push you through harder areas.
They are pretty fun though when you have the urge to play a specific expansion.
I have a strong love of mop, no where to play it (yet) besides those servers.
Oh I hear you. I’ve found myself seriously looking at one server or another in the past but I always stop because I hate finding out about all the bugs, inaccuracies, etc.
It’s true, there’s a lot of bugs, specially the later patches because they’re harder to emulate properly and have had less time put into them. Plus most are shady AF and pay to win, much worse than anything blizzard would ever put out.
But they scratch that itch ya know? If we get to classic mop i’ll never go to one again though.
I’ll be over the moon if we get this far. I love that expansion.
