The easier something is to do, the less reqarding it is to accomplish. I hope Blizzard ignores all the calls for RDF. It really was the downfall of WoW. The effect is even bigger in retail with the flex raid size system and so on.
More and more those other servers seem appealing to me…
See I don’t know if I necessarily agree with that I think wen toc Comes out if they add rdf Especially if they make it cross faction And bring back joyous journeys.
I think people will come back I hear so many people say I want to play but I want rdf Because it makes leveling so Much more fun.
And less grindy and speaking From someone that’s leveling right now on benediction I one hundred percent agree.
It’s sad that Blizzard went through all this effort to bring Classic back and the “other” servers still do it better.
They farked up the original WotLK with Cata and then they farked up WotLK Classic by not implementing it properly. Unbelievably Blizzard somehow managed to kill it twice.
No. Putting restrictions on 5 man dungeons is just stupid. If people want to spam all them they should be able to. Same applies for normal.
Yesterday at 1pm PST on Ashkandi there were a total of 31 Alliance players in the game. At 6pm PST there were 24. These players get screwed out of content because of a lack of RDF. Players should not be forced to pay to play by xfer’ing when tool’s literally exist to help them.
Currently employmented dungeon finder is only reality good if you have something you NEED done but with full RDF id maybe consider doing it just for fun but then again maybe not, idk.
As for some people’s complaining about Cata i cant wait cata was some seriously fun and challenging raiding on top of some very hard heroic dungeons from what i recall
I hope they never do a “Cata Classic”
But if they do I hope most people stay on WotLK and laugh at it.
If they added it as it was back in the day it’d be a way to level, make gold, get rep, hope for mounts, get the perky pug, etc. you got rewards for using it so it encouraged people to use it.
And I would like to see it implemented the way it was, but Blizzard chose not to include it. However I think it could still be implemented in a different way.
Just “No” isn’t a good answer. Let’s have a discussion. Maybe Blizzard should do a poll?
Go back to retail, most of us are happy with the game. Or just level and stop whining.
Everyone thinks RDF killed wow. I do not. It’s just another system that gets you into dungeons faster, which is a good thing. This was in original Wrath and should be in Classic.
However, the one thing that I found troublesome originally is that there was no accountability. People would afk halfway through a dungeon, need on items their class couldn’t use, or otherwise troll or disrupt the dungeon and act in ways that no one ever would if they had to face the consequences of this, namely destroying your reputation and getting blacklisted/ignored by players on your server.
Easy fix: implement RDF but limit groups to your own server. I know there are small and shrinking servers. Merge them or offer free transfers to larger servers - ie, fix that, don’t make RDF cross-realm and thus removing accountability.
So what you’re saying is RDF killed WoW?
Let us hope not. Loot Council is & always has been one of the most toxic systems used by Guilds to distribute loot. It should be renamed for accuracy to something like " Help a handful of us gear each other while we make excuses about it".
While a handful of guilds handle Loot Council well, the majority do not.
Most other MMO’s have some kind of random grouping system and they have methods to deal with AFKers. They could kick someone after X number of minutes of inactivity, or kick them if they don’t move far enough from spawn. They could give penalties to rolls if your contribution is too low. Like count up how much damage, tanking, or healing you do and if it’s below a threshold you get a penalty on loot rolls.
In the end though I remember enjoying RDF despite the afkers. It was almost always possible to complete the dungeon with 4 people.
It’s slower to level through RDF than through just questing.
Kinda makes the rest of it a lil moot
Have you tried playing those other MMOs then if you dislike WoW?
It wasn’t in Wotlk until ICC.
Dual spec and BG Queuing from anywhere weren’t in Wrath at the start either, but Classic started with them.
People don’t have to use hardmode dungeons either… hmmm.
But alas the “too lazy to form a group’ers” aren’t smart enough to see the issue.
And people who don’t run into the same issue that you folks are claiming RDF will bring for you.
It takes away from the pool of players to do content with.
So the thing you’re complaining about coming with RDF is already in the game, it just doesn’t affect you.
