I would say ticket times are more between 7-16 days for those kinds of tickets, times may grow even more over the holidays though.
I imagine it’s a template they copy paste into all tickets about the same things.

From what I saw on my tour, add-ons like TRP3 and MRP have been changed to communicate through a hidden chat channel, and GMs can see that channel. Reporting with the addon report button/bad addon text ticket category allows them to see it, or at least directs them to look for it.
Oh really? That’s kind of fantastic though lol – I’m sure a template is used, and that’s okay. It’s not a game-breaking issue, and it’s been proven time and again that even if there is a delay? People who break the rules will be caught and sanctioned. I do my report and move on along doing what I’m doing. They created the link between the add-on and the reporting system for a reason, so that is my validation to keep doing it that way.
That GMs response seems to indicate they have to look for it, but the GM tells them to use right click reports but doesn’t give information on what category which is what they should be doing if there’s an option that lets them see such things easily. I imagine if there was, it would be for ‘language’ but I don’t think anyone can know but the GMs themselves for sure.
Sounds promising. I’ll stick to it, then. I suppose the wait time causing me to feel unheard/hopeless/etc is entirely a “me” issue, so I’ll stick to the link Orlyia provided which TRP3 provides as well.
Ehe. If it’s anything like I saw in Irvine? They don’t have to go digging at all, it’s right there with the rest of chat in big chunks because we RPers are a wordy bunch.
Yeah. It’s a ball of confusion. I’ll stick to the primary TRP3 report → website ticket function, I suppose. Since these players aren’t actively speaking in chat, I can’t rightfully right-click report them for squat.
It helps TRP3’s scan function lets you see all profiles in an area so you don’t have to find them to target them, too. I sorta doubt we’ll get a clear answer on whether right click reporting for RP profiles is what you should be doing honestly, that whole department seems overloaded and confused on the goings on.
Gonna dig into this a little further.
As far as I am aware - if the addon has a report option, you can certainly use it. The link also works - pretty much goes to the same place.
May be something I am unaware of on the backend, but these certainly came in that way - so I’d continue using one of those two methods.
Thanks for bringing this up!
Thank you for taking a look into it! The option to report via the add-on is there, so that’s just what I use (and tack on screenshots too, just for the heck of it).
The only “report” function the Addon TRP3 has is to open the link to the battlenet ticket window- the link you mentioned. I’m sorry to split hairs, but I would like for no stone to be left unturned! That being said, in no uncertain terms:
As in Leilleath’s linked image, a GM had told me all the same to right click and report the player for this rather than use the link you had given us: is this wrong information, or should this also be used? If it should be used, which category are we advised to use: Name, Cheating, or Gameplay Sabotage?
Which is why we’ve asked for clarification, Taxim. Right now, I don’t know.
Could be confusion, could be something on the backend I’m not aware of.
I’d continue as you have been with the built-in tool/link. If that is NOT correct, we’ll update this thread - but we are awaiting answers. There really isn’t an option for those in right-click report, at the moment at least.
Oh, I’m sorry. I took your earlier message as rhetoric because you had given an answer with it and I was coming from the angle of wanting to make sure. ; -; Apologies. It must be my caffeine.
Thank you very much for sticking to this thread and replying to us as you have and are. It’s very helpful. I’ll be keeping an eye out for your findings.
TRP3, MRP and other RP addons have always communicated through “chat” to a hidden in-game channel to transmit the code to use to display in the profile.
Even though this is technically chat sent through a chat channel, most of it is pretty obscure and coded up, it’s PRETTY raw. What gets sent to the channel is pretty much like trying to read raw HTML - you can pick out words and phrases here and there, but it’s mixed with a LOT of random coding.
I know that when I’ve reported profiles before I’ve also gotten the “you can also right-click to report in the future” but I’ve always taken that with a grain of salt, assuming that it’s just in the standard harassment response template. I don’t imagine that the GMs can easily hash through raw LUA code to work out what it is exactly that the problem is, especially when all the send and receive for the entire addon is done with just constant mass spam to that one channel.
Bumping to keep this thread semi-relevant.
Not heard anything back yet - the folks that need to respond could quite likely be out for the holidays - but that should be coming to an end shortly.
I see. Thank you for the update.
