It’s not that bad, the specialization system adds a bit of complexity but that is fine with me as you can eventually unlock everything.
I’m not a fan of it. I’m too old to even bother learning all the hoops I have to jump through to learn it though. I just dropped my crafting and gather>sell.
I ran the cost of me getting 20 points in engineering would cost 445,500 gold based on price of mats right now.
I’ll just wait 10 days.(Inventing)
Easy goal for me is to just max the damn professions to 100, from there it’s just knowledge points and getting more recipes.
So far the first step has been eating my characters’ wallets because the grind is terrible. I usually enjoy grinding things but not this time.
it’s byzantine/as in unnecessarily involved…and it’s very limiting…
i would love to farm mats and make all of
my own armor and weapons for myself and my alts all along the
leveling way…but you can’t do that…
you can make a few pieces…but the rest cannot be made
til level 80…this annoys me…i don’t like being herded.
i enjoy playing the game…ALL…of the game.
I feel you on this - I didn’t do any crafting in DF aside of the required bits for fyralath so it all is quite confusing at this level of evolution.
It’s ok. I wish you didn’t need random mats to do random things. Why do i need ore to smash gems? Do we not have access to hammers? I’m sure if i smashed a gem with a hammer enough, i could make gemdust.
For me, the whole get a wow token and sell it ruined any type of professions, farming, questing, and economy-based fun you get in WoW.
Yes, but now you are a field worker for the people behind the system.
You are literally picking crops for money.
While Blizzard plays dumb.
I don’t understand why Blizzard is making this obviously damaging move. Maybe Darth Gates and company are behind it.
Yes, I have a tong in the fire. I don’t want WoW to become a wasteland like EQ.
Spoiled brats have been doomsaying WoW from jump, and that set up a “boy who cried wolf” mechanic. This will not kill the game, but it will drop player numbers significantly.
I know removing RMT will also drop player numbers; in the short term any major change does. In the long term the game will be healthier, and Activision can boast a game not turned out to the street. Gamers have been wanting a game that isn’t dirty. WoW could be that game.
Its garbage…it fills your bags with junk that you have to collect in order to fulfill orders …too much tier stuff…tier this and tier that…I already have two full bags of mats everything from ore too fish and all in between cause its listed as a crafting mat…all this mess started with BfA and Mechagon isle…
Anymore now I just collect ores and herbs and sell them raw…no crafting…I also work with Battle pets to sell some of t hem on the market…they started ruining professions with WoD and the Garrison were everyone had a mine for ore and herb garden for herbs…
They changed it to high investment high reward. The few people who make it earn much more now than before. Previously, it was easier to get all recipes and produce as well as the dedicated crafters.
Personally, I dislike it, because I can’t get any use out of profs as a quick side activity anymore. I’m kind of forced into gathering. Because I’m not going reach golden 3 star quality enchants for example, and it won’t ever make a sense for me to spend reagents on my bronze enchants, instead of selling them.
Just delete crafting and add vendors just trade in your spark for gear directly.
Imagine a boss that drops no gear and just crafting mats which people can turn into gear, it would be a joke.
The easiest “solution” to crafting is to delete it from the game.
Ok, I’m not sure what your point is by that, but buying tokens using real money is not required to be successful at crafting. You keep claiming that, but it is not true at all.
And I wasn’t implying that you don’t do it because you’re broke, I’m just saying it’s not necessary. And with a little effort, you can easily do the opposite with crafting, like I do.
You must only be considering gathering professions? Because multiboxing won’t help you with crafting. Alts can, but that’s not multiboxing. You also don’t need RMT transactions to be able to craft.
Honestly no, I get why they made the changes but the changes they made are utter trash. Knowledge points are the biggest hindrance, especially if you don’t spend them properly as you can’t even reset them.
because resetting them makes it pointless.
we spend a lot of time typing what it doesn’t mean… but never any time talking about what it does mean. standard clueless take.
Some professions like enchanting have serious materials bottlenecks but that is more a balancing issue than a core design issue.
