Professions for Paladin Pre-Patch?

Looking for what would be the most helpful to level these two weeks, was thinking Blacksmith/Mining possibly for crafting free gear to level with? Sharpening stones, and probably look to the long run for 70 Purples.

So you can make yourself a nice bench to sit on.

I don’t get it. What am I missing? I’m more curious than I am worried about looking stupid :stuck_out_tongue:

Depends on your spec

Any tbh. New to Paladin.

For you to sit on. Mages have been utter crap in beta.

Which ones are best varies by spec to spec.

So it’s really up to you. If you aren’t worried about what is best then pick what you like. They are mostly close enough that most people won’t be able to tell the difference.

Huge waste of time to level your professions while leveling. The only exceptions being mining/herbing/skinning. However, even these slow you down sufficiently. New players misunderstanding leveling. You can’t make gear that’s going to help you. It’s a huge time sink and you’ll regularly out pace it if your goal is to play end game content with everyone else. Here is the one simple fact you need to remember: getting to max level will make everything else easier in the game and require less time.

What Astan said.

I have the mats for BS/Engi on my Pally 1-300 but will only be leveling them while I’m at work through remote desktop :upside_down_face:

crafted gear for holy (tailor) not completely worth it for you will be showered by loot on KZ
loot no one else can wear ( also cradted gear will be ungodly expensive, only to be replaced quite fast)

Blacksmith for RET if you want to ARENA you go Hammersmith
otherwise , swordsmith

alchemy is good for holy

engineering is good but not as good as vanilla , also googles come later

encanting is good overall same for JC

LW gives drums and it

other profs dont give that much

so you can put your refreshment on a table table and wait outside the raid while the Locks do all the dps

yeah I would agree with the person that said Enchanting/ Jewelcrafting. Spell power to rings is a big boost for Prot Pally. There are several good necks and some starter trinkets that are decent for tanking early on. At least thats they way I am going after a lot of thought and research.

Hm. Maybe just Mining/Enchanting for the leveling.

If you go prot then maybe, Mining/Engineer, Engineer have a lot of useful stuff such as bombs and really nice trinkets for Stam, its what I will do, after maxing out Engineer I’ll probably get rid of mining and try to level up enchanting too for the Ring Stam enchants by farming lower level dungeons for mats while making gold at level 70.

I was going to go mining/blacksmith but most decent/good blacksmith gear are BOE so you can buy them off the AH.

You don’t really need to level bs to get access to bs gear if you have mining. If you are going for lionheart go swordsmith and after that drop mining for enchanting, for the ring enchants once you have lionheart sword as a ret. If you are not a ret not sure if swordsmithing will be worth it.

As others said really depends on which spec.

For ret BS is great option for lionheart in pve.

For prot engineering is great. Early stam trinket plus bombs for extra snap threat.

Enchanting is also great not only for spelldmg ring enchants for more threat but also can be used for gold farming strat.

Personally I’m going prot so I’ll be going engineering and enchanting. Leveling hunter first who will supply ore.

I actually think that’s not a bad setup :).
