Professions are terrible

Their greed for money is killing the game , I lost interest and lost my friends too .Bad design kill the game but they don’t care .Won’t buy the next for sure .

Weird that professions are what caused you to lose interest and lose friends too. You can just not do them and play the game just fine. But you do you.

Could you be more specific?

Sometimes I like to flap my mechanical arms and pretend I’m throwing the biggest fit as a chicken.

It’s hard to be specific when you’re so full of whine.

They’re not perfect, but professions are much more engaging than they have ever been imo. But to each their own.

It feels like Blizz wanted crafting to be a true endgame activity so they added a huge grind to the process.

I refuse to participate. I already have a job.

That’s the best part: You don’t need any professions to put in a work order!

Can’t say I’m a fan of the current professions myself. Cold turkied them after a week of TWW’s launch.

The only thing I really don’t like about the new system is all the gatekeeping on knowledge points. No point in complaining though. Whole game’s based on gate keeping to some degree.

Yeah professions were a lot better when it was just a completionist checklist and you’d max the skill then never touch them again (except alchemy)

Professions needed some more depth to them, but as usual they went way overboard with complications.

I skipped DF so coming back to the new system was quite a shock. The game doesn’t do a great job of explaining things or preventing pitfalls. I found myself hesitating to do things so I wouldn’t end up making a wrong move and wasting points.

Fortunately now I believe there is a reset available, but I can see where it is too convoluted for a casual player. So they went from being sort of useless/shallow to the extreme opposite it seems like.

So, if I’m reading between the lines here…
A friend wanted to be compensated for their efforts getting their profession able to craft a 5 star whatever, and you didn’t wanna pay?

Sure ,my friends left because they were not happy with pvp and mythic ,they left one by one .Trying to craft stuff with engineering is so costly since i dont have a lot of free time to farm and i can’t afford to buy from AH

Not really hard to comprehend. Professions suck worse than they ever have. Only people that like them are the Blizz bots that show up in every thread trying to gaslight people into thinking they are crazy for not liking everything Blizz does.

Nah. They’re time-gated nonsense.

Look at the tracks a Blacksmith has vs the ones a skinner has.

Personally kind of wish I could spend the concentration on making items take less reagents, even if perhaps it soulbinds the item to you (some stuff auto does, but this option would just soulbind it all- if used).

Bonus if doing that also gives KP, maybe can help catch up on knowledge at the cost of earning easier gold. Helpful too for some old stuff where it is no longer well farmed so the price has actually sky rocketed well beyond what you might consider intentional rarity (which of course if you’re with many alts of all specs you might be able to subvert, but dumping concentration into this sort of personal bubble gum and duct tape option could be nice too).

From FFXIV experience I don’t really love the knowledge point system because it time gates and I made some choices later I realized weren’t what I wanted… lol, but on the other hand I do think a research system ‘idea’ is neat. It does feel a bit convoluted though (especially given the no take-backsie KP system), I’ve been with FFXIV too long so I “imagine” that system is too for new players but for me it’s easy so… not sure if that one is also messy lol.
