I didn’t say I hated grinding.
I said I hated that particular grind.
I didn’t say I hated grinding.
I said I hated that particular grind.
I don’t think you need convincing, I think the others need to see that you’re being disingenuous and having you to defend yourself here shows clearly that you are.
He implicitly said that when he complained about the upgrade paths we have in the gear. And I’ve been here long enough before we even had those upgrade paths. And it was crap.
He also doesn’t like the idea of gear that he gets not being the best version of it, which is what happens in Vanilla. The item that drops is that the item that has dropped, and there is no better version of it.
We used to have normal/ heroic / mythic and mythic+ versions. So yes, he dislike options and thinks having options is bad.
Let me quote yourself here:
uh?
Vanilla Honor system?
The new TBC Honor system (that honor was capped) ?
The whole nature of Classic WoW is that it needs to be timegated.
You know what would’ve happened if it wasn’t? We know already, people would’ve cleared maybe week 2-3 Naxxramas, or at least most bosses.
The most tedious and grinding game that exists is World of Warcraft Vanilla. It wasn’t meant to be “rushed” but it is game out of its time today. Or 2019 for that matter.
The honor grind.
The non-stop farming for consumables.
The repeatable farms so you can actually play the game.
The Silithus farm in Cenarion Circle to get a trinket.
The Warsong Gulch farm for rep.
The Defilers farm for rep.
(Wouln’t mention Alterac valley farm because it was basically the honor grind anyway).
That was cool like 20 years ago.
Classic gearing is skewed and not progressive, so it was even in TBC where some items were better than new drops and ilvl didn’t progress as the new content was released. Like having a plate belt that drops from the first raid boss being BIS until the last raid in the game… Or a trinket dropping from the first tier being the best until the very last raid in the game too.
With Wrath things started changing. I played Classic, Classic TBC, as I did play Vanilla and OG TBC. The later 2 were not the same as the first 2 and definitely cannot go back on that.
You kinda have to put WoW on an SSD for the load screens to be tolerable.
My load screens went from ¬30 seconds to ¬3-5 seconds when I moved it onto my SSD.
As a classic andy myself… yeah the gear is literally terrible. I’m at the point where I think I’m pretty done with WoW. I’ve been grinding mythic+ dungeons for 3 days now and have seen ONE upgrade.
Like I’ve done 30+ M+ dungeons and have received a SINGULAR piece of loot. It’s disgusting how disrespectful this game is of your time.
I hate it too…
Know what I hate more? How much of a pain it was to level a toon back in 2004-2006. My paladin took what seemed like forever.
If you do world quests or dungeons halfway regularly the upgrade cost isn’t an issue.
Upgrading only hurts at the beginning. Then you have decent gear and can keep upgrading it as you progress. So you are stronger in 3 months compared to just having static stats on your gear.
I’d rather have set stants and enchants but it is what it is.
Retail isn’t classic. The point of classic and its various modes (hardcore, SoD, etc) is to be like the vanilla version of the game.
Retail is not supposed to be the same, and if someone really likes classic that doesn’t mean they will like retail and vice versa. I personally love both but I don’t have the time to play both.
And for the coreway loading screen, I have never gotten one and I’ve flown up and down it quite a few times.
Classic is right there waiting for you.
It depends on how many from faerlina are there. I wish I was joking. Like most jests, there is some truth to that.
Not all ninjya there…but yeah, I am not shocked when I see a faerlina leather class roll need on plate. I can be more shocked when they don’t, really.
MOst times they play well enough I go I really jsut want the points off the rdf reward to not rant/rage on them.
GDKP is worse for one reason. Peoeple on classic buy gold more than anyone else ever does on retail. This is why you got botting problem. I have zero faith in the classic player base.
Lol, Retail Andy complaining about people buying gold when Retail has the Wow Token…
Honestly, I don’t agree. I’ve heard that people buy far more gold in SoD than in Era because SoD banned GDKP.
What rng with stats? lol
Are you sure you play this game?
Token doesn’t really affect anything in retail however… we still ain’t suck with chinese bots ruinning the game. Laugh all you want tho!
Right, but if GDKP was in retail, the problems you complained about wouldn’t exist.
well yeah. the AH prices for needed stuff is badly priced.
SoD was the non gdkp experiment. It rekt classic the theory. hahahaha, no. Sweatlords gonna sweat. And over charge for the potions to sweat too lol.
I have never in OG or recent classic had an experience where every dungeon I ran, something I wanted dropped. I wasn’t even thinking about ninja looting but that’s an issue too.
Faerlina is pretty bad all around though yeah. Hated seeing them show up in a BG too.
OP is probably running on an HDD rather than an SSD. My friend has the game installed on HDD and runs into the same problem.
Finally got around to upgrading my computer: turns out that it was a graphics card problem, no loading screen after the upgrade.
GDKP and RMT go hand in hand. The best part is when the people who organize GDKP runs get banned for RMT even though they personally never technically bought gold, because the people in the run did buy gold and gave it to them.
GDKP is a bad loot system all around, and risks your account. I played vanilla through wrath back in the day and never used GDKP. We used a fair variation of DKP and there was never any issues or drama over loot.
Well almost every problem that you are complaining about is answered by “To keep you playing the game and pad their time metrics”
So to counter that you would have to stop playing the game , which I doubt is going to happen
So you aren’t supposed to get a loading screen when you flight path through the Coreway? I don’t get one if I mount fly, but I do on FP.
I have the game on an SSD. For whatever reason, if I’m riding a FP I get a brief loading screen when the Coreway transitions between areas. Doesn’t happen on a flying mount.
