Problem with gifted purchase

Over the weekend while BFA was on sale I purchased the Digital Deluxe edition for my wife as a gift (she is currently on a starter account, has never spent money on WoW before). When she clicks the account . blizzard . com/gifts/ link in the email it just takes her to a completely blank, white web page. On the launcher the gift icon shakes and has an orange dot on it, but when she clicks on it the gifts screen is empty.

In-game and in Account Management her account is still listed as Starter Edition, so what’s going on?? How can she claim the gift when the pages refuse to load?? We’ve tried it on both her Macbook and my PC with the same results, and I’m posting this with my account because her highest character is level 7, so she doesn’t have forum access.

Has she tried using the My Gifts tab here on the forums? Click her name in the upper-right corner to access it.

Alternatively, she may want to consider clearing cache/cookies of her browser, downloading a new browser entirely, or possibly disabling any antivirus/firewall software temporarily.

She may be unable to claim it without first purchasing game time, though.

That takes her to the same blank webpage that the email link takes her to.

Already done all that, as well as tried it on two different machines like I said earlier (her Macbook and my PC).

While I can confirm the white screen issue, this wouldn’t be something Customer Support would be able to resolve.

It’s best to place this in the Website Bug Report forum so the Web Developers can look into it.

This isn’t limited to the website though, it doesn’t work in gifts section of the launcher either.

The gifts section of the launcher, I assume, uses the same exact webpage to display any gifts received. It would still fall under Website Bug Reports, but you might also want to post in Desktop App Tech Support or Desktop App Bug Report.

EDIT: Have you tried a mobile data connection to rule out any possible connection issues?

EDIT 2: Nevermind, just tried it on my end, with the same blank page on mobile data.

So, it does seem to be there might be an issue with the gift page, which we’ve forwarded to be looked into.

In the meantime, Amarlly, do you know if your wife has created a Starter Edition account yet? It shouldn’t be an issue, but maybe since you purchased the BFA expansion it needs somewhere to go, which would be a Starter or Standard Edition.

Maybe have her try to create a starter edition, then restart the Desktop App and see if she can click the gift option again. If you want to use the Recruit A Friend promotion, I’d recommend using that to create the Starter account.

Yes she has, like I mentioned earlier she has a level 7 character from some time last year.
