When you got bloodlusted, you had too many things to press. Any delay caused a cascade affect. Delaying 2 seconds could be thousands of dps lost.
Every boss fight. My hand ached. D3 nado freeze wizard all over again

i didnt really feel that was the case but i also thoroughly enjoyed the 0.75 sec gcd while bloodlusted in crusade. the rotation outside of that having dead globals ruined its fun for me
Different key strokes for different folks
gotta use mouse scripts for d3
It caused severe damage to my hand, canât really play fast keystroke games anymore.
You should probably quit crying, ret was #1 dps in original ICC, this game has mever ever ever ever been about balance
But everyone said fury would be amazing in ICC and Ret would be trash?
That was the mantra on the forums for months.

Was misinformation that MANY people called out. Sims revealed this in phase 1. Didnât stop ill-informed people from spreading things like âscale hard.â Even Aggrend decided to make WotLK into his own private server and ignored the data.
Good thing for him he plays Ret.

No one ever said ret would be trash in iCC.
Fury IS amazing.
Ret IS amazing.
This is how it always was for ICC.
Fury IS amazing
Considering how weak its utility is and where its been on the dmg meters on the PTR I dont know about âamazingâ lol.
Just what Ret mains say to try and justify why Ret should be buffed while prot and holy are already the best tank and best healer.
Wrath is the Paladin expansion and theyâve gone out of their way to buff Ret as well because Blizz canât help but make massive changes to Wrath classic.

This argument would work if people actually brought ret for their utility. (They donât, because they already have everything that a ret brings.)

Or if the wrath devs cared about utility in wrath when balancing DPS (they didnât).
But everyone said fury would be amazing in ICC and Ret would be trash?
Well, fury is going to be amazing in ICC when they get what they want out of it.
Ret was going to be⌠Mid tier if you gave them a legend.
Fury was going to be mid tier without one, top tier with one.
Now with the buffs, ret is the same, and itâs a problem⌠Why?
Oh no ret and feral are doing well!!! I thought no dps were suppose to be top!!
rogue in cata hurt my hand. I wanted the legendary but it wasnât worth it.
Im mostly ok with how things look going into ICC. Iâm already seeing geared fury warriors tear up the meters so theyâll be in pretty good shape going into the next phase.
Ferals, or ANY druid spec for that matter, finally having a moment to shine is fine with me. Theyâve been one of the worst classes for 3 expacs across all specs. Iâm happy my feral brothers finally get a chance to pump.
Pretty much same for rets, though I feel a little less bad since paladins in general have been so OP for 2 expansions. But so many rets came into WOTLK thinking this was their moment in the sun and until very recently it really didnât work out that way.
Iâm sad Spriests and Enh Shamans are held back more by mechanical and itemization oversights but it is what it is.
And mages/locks/Rogues/DKs are about where everyone expected.
Hunters are probably in the worst spot going into ICC
I agree with everything except these 2 points.
ANY druid spec for that matter, finally having a moment to shine is fine with me. Theyâve been one of the worst classes for 3 expacs across all specs.
Druid was probably the overall worst class in Vanilla Classic yes, but in TBC Resto/Bear were absolute monsters, and cat did good single target damage with 0 cleave.
though I feel a little less bad since paladins in general have been so OP for 2 expansions.
Paladins are OP in WOTLK but they were far from OP in TBC. Holy was outright the worst healer, many raids didnât even bring a Holy Paladin. Prot was good but far from OP unless you specifically only mean AOE tanking which they were OP for. And Ret was basically the same as cat, good single target, 0 cleave.
I donât understand the logic behind âProt Paladin is really strong so because of that Retribution should do less damageâ. We should not conflate Protection representation with that of Retribution.
Also I donât feel that Retribution stacking is going to suddenly become the meta. I think there are still better classes for that, like Feral or Fury for speedrunning (much better cleave damage, no mana). The extra salv/AM/bop isnât that big of a deal.
Letâs also not forget that, when Retribution goes Divine Sacrifice, such as on Saurfang progress, they lose about 2-3% of the DPS (350-515 DPS, depending on if youâre able to get 2/5 or 3/5 seals of the pure) listed on the sheet/sims.
raids shouldnât just be 18 warriors like in classic. if paladin is s tier at everything, which they are now, theyâll be over represented. This means less spots for every other class and poor loot distribution.
Well, the loot distribution isnât really harmed much.
Only holy paladins want SP plate, tanking gear only goes to 2 - 3 people anyway, and ret isnât S tier, while also taking gear that largely isnât stacked on demand.
Itâs one of the least disruptive classes to be good enough to have several, as they are all in different roles (maybe you have 2 holy paladins, or 2 prot, you probably donât run 2 ret unless you have no better option).
You donât have to worry about ret stacking. Thereâs no reason to. At best you bring 1 in a min/maxed group.
