Hello, I see you replied to the thread. The more this person posts, the more I’m starting to believe this Warlock!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

Believe or not believe me, I ain’t lying. I’d post the phone call here if it was recorded but it wasn’t. Small towns do stupid things to get money.

Hello, I see you replied to the thread. I live in podunk middle of nowhere and can walk into any drug store and get a shot! Not only is the vaccine free across the country, the US has such a massive supply of the stuff that we are sending massive amounts of it across the globe!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

Just lettin ya know what I was told over the phone yesterday. I don’t troll with this kinda stuff.

Hello, I see you replied to my post. Next time don’t call your neighbor! If an actual licensed medical distributor charged for the shot, they would lose their license!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

I mean, the hospital and urgent care here are about as usless as boobs on a witch…

according to the cdc they are free, period. you should report that location for charging money

Hello, I see you replied to my post. There isn’t a single hospital or urgent care facility in the country that would try to charge for the shot, not a single one!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

I’ll give you the number and you can call them.

Are you mobile and can get to a nearer larger town that has more resources?

Burning $30 in gas is cheaper than $200 in BS hospital charges.

Hello, I see you replied to my post.

Go to your state web site. It should have something about getting vaccines (I hope). As someone else said, the government is paying for vaccines and anyone charging should be reported to the federal government. In my State, they made it really easy to find local places to get vaccinated an appointments, so start there.

I’m so sorry about your mom and hopes she pulls through. Having had two parents go through Covid, I know how hard it can be.

Hello, I see you replied to my post. Which goes to show that it’s illegal and should be reported! Also, as said, it seems to be mostly billing errors, not from people calling!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

According to the CDC:

COVID-19 vaccination providers cannot:

  • Charge you for a vaccine
  • Charge you directly for any administration fees, copays, or coinsurance
  • Deny vaccination to anyone who does not have health insurance coverage, is underinsured, or is out of network
  • Charge an office visit or other fee to the recipient if the only service provided is a COVID-19 vaccination
  • Require additional services in order for a person to receive a COVID-19 vaccine; however, additional healthcare services can be provided at the same time and billed as appropriate

COVID-19 vaccination providers can:

  • Seek appropriate reimbursement from the recipient’s plan or program (e.g., private health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid) for a vaccine administration fee
    • However, providers cannot charge the vaccine recipient the balance of the bill.
  • Seek appropriate reimbursement for uninsured vaccine recipients from the Health Resources and Services Administration’s COVID-19 Uninsured Program.

I managed to get vaccinated without health insurance. (I was a recent college graduate with no job and my student insurance had run out.) I got two doses of the Pfizer vaccine at a CVS and all they did when I told them I had no insurance was ask me for my social security number. It was not as complicated as I expected.

The place you’re talking about sounds a bit sketchy

  1. call 911, make sure your mother is OK.
  2. Get vaccinated as soon as you are cleared, even if the clinic says they will charge you
  3. Don’t pay the bill if they send it. Take their info in the bill and report them to AHCA (google AHCA office near you for their phone number). The clinic will be forced to clear the bill because what they are doing is illegal.
  4. that place sounds sketchy anyway, they might even inject you water…
