Because you don’t seem to get it. This isn’t a clinical trial. You don’t need a verified source. If you soend 100g a week in respecs and suddenly you don’t have to do that then what does everyone do woth their extra gold? The gold doesn’t disappear just because you stop spending it on respecs. You start buying other things. Gold becomes trivial because you now save 100g a week to buy other things you wouldn’t normally have.

Also, it’s incumbent on you to prove it would not affect gameplay not on us to say that it would. You provide the stance so you must defend it. You failed miserably.
You don’t get it at all. None of you no changers do. How long do you think it will take people to get 1k gold? Content is gated, amassing that amount of money won’t come easy and you also have an epic mount to buy.
How often do you think people will play during the week? Go to the other thread and see everyone’s age. Do you think the average person can play the same amount of time they did 14 years ago? How long do you think people will stick around on average? We already know the fights, we have had 15 years of min-maxing. I doubt you will have the retention that the original game had. Its also competing against several other online games that are newer that people might want to play.
At what point do you think that 50g would become trivial because of the lack of new content and mostly everyone is at endgame? At this point it wouldn’t matter how much gold you would sink into respecs, money will be everywhere. This has been the case towards the end of every expansion (at least up until cata, i didnt play beyond that).
This is why I ask for data. You cant say ohh it will do this and that when you really have no clue.

Dual Spec will not be in Classic. It wasn’t added until WotLK. It’s in the same realm as achievements, flying, and titanforging as “things that never saw the light of day in vanilla and are not part of the experience.”

That depends on a number of factors. Someone who knows what they are doing could save up 1k gold in a week easy.
There is videos online that detail farming spots just using skinning and vendoring the trash to make 75g an hour minimum.
50g become trivial? This isn’t about 50g. This is about all the gold said person saves by not having to spend 50g to respec every time. Which could easily be 200+ gold a week. By your own argument of it taking most people along time to farm 1k gold that would be pretty darn non trivial real fast.
You ask for data you yourself repeatedly provide for us. I never said it was an economy shattering amount of gold. I said it would change the economy. Which is true.
The fact that you even think that dual spec is still going to be in vanilla is funny.

That’s great there are farming spots and ways to make money, we have no clue how many people would do it.

Over tax breaks and War games…these aren’t her “issues” these are every-ones “issues” and she’s right, we see better ROI with Education and Healthcare and a better long term outcome(society wise). You’re using big numbers to try and prove a point that you haven’t researched, we will save money with Medicare for all, we will save money when we de-invest in war games and will save money when we raise taxes on the rich and the Corp back to normal levels.
The money isn’t the problem, we have money for war and tax breaks, we can borrow $2T for tax cuts(Socialism for the rich) and over $7 trillion on war games in the last 10 years we can find the money for healthcare and education. Maybe we should stop pissing away money on stupid stuff…then we would have enough for things that matter and improve our society,
Also that $40T number you’re using is taking a large chuck of time, if you spread it out like it will be that number drops and is not as scary, BTW we are a $17T per year economy and rising.
