Private Vanilla server Peaked 14k Closing for Classic

Out of all the hundreds if not thousands of Private servers out there I was doing a little research and I found out that this server Released Vanilla Wow not long ago and peaked at 14k (thousand players) which is pretty amazing just for one server. Now the other Nice thing i found out was that “Currently the (name of server not going to mention) staff plan to close down the servers in the summer of 2019 when WoW Classic launches.” Which I read in their Forum. I hope Blizzard has some good servers up because this is going to blow up

Yeah, they’re pretty cool. It’s good to see someone eventually managed to catch Nostalrius’ torch after the slimeballs who were handed it directly went on to abuse it for profit. Shutting down for Classic being part of their mission statement is one of the best parts - that’s how you can tell they’re in it for the love of the game.

Classic can’t come soon enough. I’ve seen some things, man. How that server came about was a pretty hellish.

Cool thing is that’s not the only Private Server closing. Am glad the PS of WOTLK don’t close is my favorite expansion am really hoping Blizzard comes out with Servers with Burning Crusade and WOTLK alone aside from classic, lots of people enjoy those 2 expansions too you know

Yeah, I still enjoyed the game during BC/Wrath. It wasn’t until Cata that I called it quits. LFR broke my spirit.

Wrath was iffy for me. I don’t really care for multiple difficulty levels on content.

I heard that same thing. Cataclysm broke everything. I enjoyed All wow until WOTLK loved doing ICC and 40 people raid etc

Shutting down before the lawsuits come knocking, probably.

I don’t believe that’s why. Some people Actually love supporting the game or games

There won’t be lots of people looking to play on those servers when Classic launches anyway. People will finally see how unresponsive etc. those servers were.

This is true too. It does seem that Classic is going to suck the air out of the room for Vanilla PServers a bit. But many of the famous vanilla projects are now working on TBC servers and trying to launch them ASAP… Thats the REAL sign that they expect Classic to suck away all the Vanilla server players.

I am with you 100% cata is where it dropped off for me too… And Wrath and the multi-level content just felt like they were trying to water everything down and make it so that “everybody seeing content” and having lesser gear VS the heroic raiders and then never being able to compete VS TBC which was -AMAZING- in terms of raid, pvp, world… etc (MINUS FLYING MOUNTS.) Black Temple was HARD AS HELL but you could DO IT! and you would be 100% viable because there wasnt a HUGE variance of gear level. It was -CONSISTENT- the lack of consistency in WOD, more so in Legion and ----ESPECIALLY---- in BFA just makes me wanna throw my monitor through a window

I am curious how Blizzard can enforce a copy write infringement inside of soviet Russia where most of these servers are located.

I hear that Vladimir Putin really does not give a darn what the United States or the EU think about things…

I also find it interesting that the EU is actually more an authoritarian nation than Soviet Russia now; that’s when you know you’re nation has gone to hell in a handbasket.

They’ll never be able to enforce anything really. they can drop all the lawsuits they want, when Elysium was forcibly closed and had to reopen, every single other private server quickly jumped on the same wagon and switched the locations their servers were located to where they couldnt be ripped down and touched by the long arm of “lololol. you cant host this cuz you’re not us and we wont/dont wanna do it cuz we just dont”

Come on now, all the private server admins are secretly selling gold to the chinese to keep their servers afloat. White kidney is no different.

What is this, 2018, and reddit?

Nost was too. But I guess you can think WK spontaneously turned over a new leaf after exploiting/selling his bot program for years.

I don’t think anything about WK. He was never in, and has never been in, a position of unsupervised authority in the new server. That bit of misinformation is one of the most interesting parts of the tale, so it’s unfortunate that it never gets told.

Sorry your server of choice didn’t do so well, though. But who the hell cares? This is old news.

Cool. Server shutting down. Meanwhile the core is available to anyone who wants it and Voldemort server has already said they’re allowing anyone to transfer their characters off of Voldemort.

Hopefully losing the name Voldemort will be enough to fragment the private server community.

Vanilla Private servers won’t die if Blizzard doesn’t make the right choices for Classic. And now, TBC servers will flourish as well as WotLK.

Typically by sanctioning the use of US currency systems like Paypal, forcing users to be either unable to pay for them, or resort to things like bitcoin, for which the average user isn’t that eager.

The private industries have been going that rout, but it’s not going to pay off for them in dividend by becoming and extension of law enforcement.

Financial institutions that start to dabble in things outside of making sure their currency and exchange are 100% stable are doomed.

That’s why companies like MasterCard, Pay-Pal and other’s who’re cutting people off will get replaced by any company or currency that’s 100% going to work even in the most despicable underground black market.

The first financial institution that can come up with a fool proof and affordable way to provide secure transactions with out any government or political over-site is going to be rich beyond the wildest dreams of anyone who ever lived.

Bit-coin sucks because the exchange rate and price fluctuation is unacceptable for a currency.
