Not sure what the hostility is for. I’m just trying to help solve your issue because on my rogue people are pretty happy to group with me.

Because you swap back and fourth between whatever account isnt banned from the forums to add your 2 cents that nobody cares about.

Youre a person that is like “why dont people in north korea just escape… like just escape you have the option”

I only have one account, not that it’s relevant to this discussion anyhow.

Are you comparing finding a group as a rogue to escaping North Korea?

Bro this you? LOL

Sure is. Once again, how is that relevant?

We’re talking about LFD and how your rogue gets snubbed from groups without it.

The comments… LOL

Literally the entire forums has you on ignore… didnt realize your presence in the arena section…

Excellent comments… popcorn material… LOLOLOL

No it doesn’t.

I’m going to assume that you have no actual points then.

It’s funny you say that cause I would have swore I ignored him and yup…I did. Apparently he posts on multiple characters with that name.

Yeah he got a sussy on his main account so he was on that human rogue for a bit doing his thing.

Sadder than lemonfront tbh

Just one other character. I only post on this hunter and my human rogue, also named Bloomsday. Feel free to put both on ignore if my posts bother you that much.

WHAT? Is this even possible?

Its pretty close man… idk… its like a different kind of sadness yanno.

Its like the difference between being depressed and grieving. Both are forms of sadness just so different.

I dispute this. In my experience, dungeons are not particularly social. Guilds are social. Discord servers are social. Raids can be social, if you use a voice chat. Pug dungeons? Not so much, even in Classic and TBC Classic. Whatever discussion there is tends to be pretty utilitarian.

IMO, LFD simply isn’t the villain people like to believe. IMO, there were three culprits for dysfunctional groups and reduced socialisation:

  1. The players themselves. This is too often overlooked. Players in retail want to play a game, but the players that came to Classic/TBC Classic are mostly looking for a certain experience. It’s a different set of players with different expectations.
  2. The dungeons themselves, rather than LFD. Faceroll dungeons mean that there’s less necessity to chat. In fact, chatting just slows down what is (for many) pretty unchallenging (and therefore uninteresting) content.
  3. LFR. Unlike LFD, LFR IS a sh!tshow. You can get through a dungeon with minimal interaction between the players. You CANNOT get through a raid, no matter how easy, without interaction and coordination.

Even still, if all we were talking about is the convenience of LFD, then I’d agree it should be left out of Wrath Classic. But on many servers there are problems starting to crop up for which LFD, judiciously implemented, could be a fix. Boosting. Tanks charging for services. Certain low level dungeons NEVER being run.

One of the main things that killed social, way before LFD, was guild achievements and the rewards for those achievements. LFD didnt and wont destroy social…I have gone back to Retail (After 2 years) since I found out BCC was a sinking ship…and I have to say its pretty social again, its not as toxic as it was and I hate to say it but Im enjoying it. Sure I miss the days of Guilds being your second family, actually driving across country to meet your guildies or getting them a job or hell even letting one live with you. But there is still a huge social aspect to retail, it will never be like vanilla, but life wont be either.
Make your journey, play how you want, build a guild you want, socialize with those you agree with, Blizz can provide a world…but its up to us to make it what we want socially.

LFD doesn’t do anything. (Except what it’s designed to do, making it quick, simple, and easy to form normal and heroic dungeon groups at all level ranges)

It’s the players that are Anti-social, the tool doesn’t do anything.

Forcing people to be whatever you vaguely define as “Social” doesn’t make the game more social.

Also your definition of social is so ridiculously vague there’s absolutely no way to prove LFD harms the “Social” aspect of the game.

You just don’t like new things that give people the ability to do things in the game. That’s what I’m convinced of at this point.

You don’t actually care about social stuff, you just want to see other people struggle being unable to do basic content that everyone should be able to do.

Retail is the way it is because it has all expacs lol.

No one talks in Oribos/SW/Org!

well yeah…I usually am not there. Many aren’t. there is a whole big and wide game to explore in retail. TBCC its…3 cities. I am in pvp or I am legacy hunting in retail most of the time.

If people really want to talk to me…chances are good I am in a dalaran. LEgion or wrath. I know of the really fun 3rd one too. And I wonder on Wrath day 1 how many bites mage trolls get with THAT portal.

trade chat is where brain cells go to die most times as I see it so not there either.

Hell not much of city man either. Like last night I joined and was kicked from 2 guilds in an hour of some errands in SW. Backstory being a few people were asking for guild signatures lol. they got their personal guild, I said cool you got it, happy to help and then kicked.

Happy to help out people but the guild pan handling gets old at times. I really just wanted to crush out some engineering levels.

LOL you posting that thread of Bloomboy getting completely roasted is hillarious and very appropriate. Dude trolled arena forums hard for a long time and those comments are actually hilarious.
