I think there should be an increased drop for the armor set you’re playing on. I’ve recently leveled a monk and out of all the rares I’ve chased down, I’ve managed 1 piece of leather, 5 pieces of cloth, 2 plate, and 3 mail. While it’s nice to have gear saved up for an alt…I’d really like the chance to be higher that the armor you can actually USE be dropped before getting other classes. I want to play my monk, I don’t want to kill rares on my shaman to farm gear for my monk 
anyone else having this issue?

eh…if you want to play your monk you should be killing rares on that character anyway. So that you can get the bop upgrade tomes. Otherwise, RNG is RNG.
Just make sure you’re doing the primal storms back in the old zones. You can get like 10 sigils a week from that (and from the event in the Primalist Future). Which is enough to upgrade one of the major tier pieces (head/chest/legs) to 385.

Yep, although I’m not sure I like the double RNG of slot/armor type… I’d like to see them test glove tokens dropping that you can send to any armor type OR the opposite do a currency that drops for leather not the vendor will sell you any slot for that currency.
Yes I know that’s what elemental overflow does but that’s at tank 1/3 I would like to see it at 2/3
And don’t get my started on the 1 hand, 2 hand, off hand weapon token annoyance.
Fresh characters should probably be spending their sparks on weapons anyway. So that shouldn’t really be that big a deal.

I think this should have been implemented from the start. If I’m remembering correctly timeless isle had gear that wasn’t locked behind armor-type (could be wrong though, it’s been awhile).

Yeah, my druid gets so much mail and plate, my plate gets so much cloth and leather.

Initially I was getting 0 leather drops. I switched to my hunter to farm and boom, leather drops.

My roommate was having the same issue, she mainly plays a rogue, and her alt is a paladin (she only really plays the two), and so while doing forbidden reach stuff she pointed to a bag she had half full of the BoA equipment tokens and was like all of this is for other armor types, I’ve gotten like one thing for my rogue.
Me I mainly play my shaman, but I am an alt aholic so do play 4 other classes regularly, and eventually every one, and my shaman did get a couple mail ones, but did seem predominantly others, and my warlock here who is probably my 3rd most played was getting mainly non-cloth.

I actually think some people want the opposite, for example if they’re farming on their main and it’s already at 400+ they don’t want gear… they want it for their alts.

that’s why i think either having a vendor to trade the token or just a universal token would be best.
Like a post earlier said, it’s better to do it on your alt though for the upgradable tokens

They won’t change it though, it’s becoming a time sink getting the final pieces to drop for some alts lol. Frustrating to say the least. Maybe if they want to keep the time sink, let us trade 2-5 of any type to get a single piece we do want/need.
The amount of total cloth and plate boots I’m getting is wild lol

dont forget to catalyst the pieces for the normal mode transmog and upgrade them to 395 for the heroic transmog

Took me FOREVER to get Mail drops yet I’m flooded with Cloth drops. I only have 1 Cloth Alt and never plan to make any more.

A vendor would be nice. I’ve joined Farm Groups, hit Rares, and geared a number of characters now.
The Farm Groups are good in theory, but they require people to… Engage in order to work. Lots of people asking for things, not a lot of people offering their drops, for example. Good in theory, but people suck at sharing.
I got most of it on my own by hitting rares across my various alts and trading tokens among my characters.

Honestly there should have been something in place to trade. Granted this rare run I had a decent variety…yet I’m still searching for that plate helm for my pally hahaha

Aye, level a warlock. Mine is close to 60 and Demo spec just feels like you’re commanding an army of demons with instant procs poppin off constantly. Highly recommend if you consider it! Maybe save a full cloth set haha
