Primal storms.... kinda suck right now

One of the only issues I have with Dragonflight right now.

They need some form of direction; quests, WQs, something to give players something to do there besides joining a 40m raid and mindlessly farming mobs for essence.

It’s a great way to gear alts, for us altoholics.

A good way for people to swap characters if a raid or dungeon group needs heals or tanks if none happens to be not available.

I don’t understand why they don’t just have the same boss summoning mechanic that the pre-patch storms had.

Those weren’t like the most exciting thing in the world but at least it was something. Plus, you had some warning when something worthwhile to kill was about to pop up.

it is boring boring mindless boring - my alts could stay naked and I wouldn’t do them (of course you do dungeons and raids - so par for the course for you)

They’re very uninspired.
I’ll get around to collecting the 4 quest items so I can upgrade an item of gear, but it’s something I’ll do towards the end of the week. But it should be something I want to do ASAP.

Primal Invasions is my first big disappointment with DF. Hopefully future content is more interesting.

Not a fan of the boss rares being on a seemingly random timer. It’s just waiting for a rare that takes a long time to kill.

As for farming it is done as a group… the gear you get for doing group world content is so low in comparison to just doing mythic dungeons.

ā€œBlizzard recycling pre patch for dragonflight? Lul small indie company so sad :cry:ā€

That’s why we can’t have nice things

I mean I’ve made bank off then so I enjoy them lol

Few people would say that though.
In fact when it comes to ā€œinvasionsā€, all people want is for Blizzard to recycle the Legion invasions.

There is a weekly quest to gather the essence. Since this quest doesn’t actually award anything but a bit of gold, it could be daily.

It can be a tedious grind though. The other grind of the obsidian key allows you to break up the monotony with key turn-ins and rare spawns.

Every time I get to one, it isn’t clear what you’re supposed to do, or nothing was there at all so last week I just did it for the one quest from Valdrakken. I will have to figure it out because I want the transmog.

Solution if you don’t like them: don’t do them, and do something else.

Yup I agree OP.

Just go there and kill mobs until it gives you the popup quest to go back to the guy in Valdrakken.

He will give you 2 tokens that can be saved up for upgrading the gear.
You only get 2 tokens per invasion, per week.

You don’t have to stay in there 40 minutes, I don’t because so far this expansion, world bosses have given me absolutely nothing of value, so if it’s up, I’ll kill it sure, but I’m not sitting around waiting for it.

Ive got 382 ilvl from world bosses and rares. Thats not to bad…

Looks like I’m not the only one with bum luck on WBs

i get the sigils ever week you can get about it you get plenty on the other stuff while getting the sigils there’s no other point in doing them basiically just like sitting out in the world mindlessly killing things.

There needs to be a solo or grindable path to the best gear in the game. Going through keys should not be the only way.

Strongly disagree. Storms are the kinda of content we were missing and sorely needed. Some good old fashioned grinding. It’s one the things I enjoyed the most during my time with FFXIV. Bozjan and other grinds were kinda like storms, not complex and just relaxing.
