I have the pattern to make the Elderhorn Riding Harness. I am trying to level up my Legion leatherworking to be able to create the mount. However, to level up my leatherworking, I need lots of Primal Sargerite. They only seem to drop from certain bosses. They are supposed to drop from random mobs. My skill is at 82 and I need about 90 primal sargerite to get to level 100! Did Blizzard change how to get these? Is there any other way to level up my leatherworking?
EDIT: PLEASE ignore. Solution found. Blizzard made it look like I learned all the patterns for leatherworking in Legion but the vendor was able to sell patterns even though they were listed as learned and were in RED! I was able to get to level 100 with the patterns. Thank you for your suggestions but this topic is now CLOSED,

You can also get them from your command table & daily quests.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but you don’t actually need Primal Sargerite, do you? Would be weird if LW couldn’t max the profession until 7.3 back in Legion.

The vendor BUYS them, no sell them.
Qaccy, the 2 patterns I have require 5 of them for each one I create. Very frustrating. I can’t find any more patterns past 80 skill level.

Perhaps it’s a matter of needing to rank up another recipe? That was part of the profession design at the time. If a recipe stopped giving skill, ranking it up could bring it back into +skill range again.

Qaccy, I understand that. However, the trainer in Dalaran only has level 100 patterns left. I have been looking to upskill everywhere else with no joy.

Joanna, I have Boon of the Lightbearer than enables a drop of Light’s Fortune that will contain primal sargerite. No luck with that drop either.

Wowhead comments from last Fall say Invasions were granting 5 per completion. Maybe try one of those.

I have 203 across my account, I wish I could give them to you but Blizzard, in their wisdom, made them BoP. So I can’t even share them with alts. They even provided an Alchemy transmute to make them but - again - BoP. Like how many Alchemy/Leatherworkers are there out there? Don’t know why I have hung onto them, really.
Maybe you can ask someone on the Community Council to put up a suggestion that Primal Sargerite be unlocked and made tradeable as obtaining it at this time is nearly impossible. It’s not like it’s a current material or anything.

You dont need these to hit 100. Google legion leatherworking leveling.

That’s odd. I remember leveling from 75 to 100 by crafting rank 3 recipe. None of them required primal sargerite [it’s a rock].
I did Google Legion leatherworking. However, all but 2 patterns are grey when I look at my leatherworking skill panel which means I cannot level up my skill except with those 2. And those two require primal sargerite!
Blizzard must have changed the requirements because I am stuck without the primal sargerite which you can get from mining but I have skinning and leatherworking as my professions.
