I think you’re misunderstanding what folks are saying. Most patterns in Legion aren’t just learned once and that’s it; you learn them at rank 1, and then there are also rank 2 and rank 3 variants for those same recipes that you already learned. They’re available from various sources, usually from reputation vendors or as drops from specific mobs. If you ranked up some of your recipes from rank 1, you should be able to skill up with at least one of them.

Nope. I have all the ranks. Only 2 things give me skill up: Fiendish Shoulderguards and Fiendish Spaulders.

Absolutely none of the recipes required to get to level 100 for Legion Leather working need the primal sargerite. You must not have collected rank 2 or rank 3 of the recipes.

Rank 3 of the Gravenscale Grips/Armband or Dreadleather Binding/Gloves will get you to 100.

I have collected almost all higher ranks. I even found a vendor who had one in red and bought it and it did increase my rank but still shows grey in my list, so it will not increase my skill level if I create one. My list shows the next rank is available for some at the vendor in Dalaran but it isn’t!!! I know what I am talking about! It must be a bug.

I now see that it shows that I already know a pattern when I try to buy it. THEY LIED!!! I bought one from Ranid in Dalaran and it DID increase my rank. FFS Blizzard!

Have you dropped Leatherworking in the past? The Legion version I mean.

If they’re saying you learned it already, prehaps you need to buy whatever it’s called to learn “forgotten recipes I learned in the past or whatever”.

They drop from some world quests/gathering quests on Argus, IIRC. Do you have Argus opened up?

They also drop from your mission table, quite a bit there, actually.

I have this problem, my Leatherworker is also Alchemy not skinning, as I have another skinning/herbalism char. So, the LW has a difficult time without the skinning world quests.
