It’s funny to note that the #1 log’s highest attack is raze despite not running UF.

Not moonfire. Not thorns. They didn’t even make the top 3.

It’s maul/raze, mangle, thrash.

Crazy to think that people would value a build that uses its highest damage as defense.

Listen, I always have time for my fans, but don’t bury the lead here. I love the character, feely-craft vs the sims, etc.

But, ToI is a must take talent. That was the assertion.

But, out here in the real world. ToI is a must take talent, and it will be in 10.1.5, unless they change tuning by a lot.

3.5x more IF casts, and still half the damage of Raze

698 Iron fur casts for 12.7m - average hit of 5k
207 Raze casts for 25.6m - average hit of 37k

Even on ST fight (picked Deios), it took 67 casts of IF to average 17k per button press for 1.18m damage. Raze pressed 25 times for an average of 40k for 1m damage.

Playing with UFR, I also get the free damage from ToI, plus the added benefit of building a shield. If we would have switched 4 globals over to Raze, it would have over taken the damage, without losing any damage either since UFR builds take ToI as well.

If this had been Maul, there’d be no competition.

I dunno. With the ability to keep Maul and Raze, and the repositioning of ToI to not be anywhere near “required” to get to RoTS, and being able to take GG and UFR, I think it’s going to lose it’s value as it’s damage will not be able to keep up with Maul, especially with the benefit of gaining UFR shields.

10.1.5 is giving the option of better damage and better mitigation via UFR + Tier + GG rage + Maul AND Raze. I think ToI is going to get left behind.

Pull juicy big, then incarn and just spam fr, IF, raze raze raze, mangy mang, easily pass 100k hps on just yourself. Throw in a natures vigil and the healer doesn’t really have to do anything with the combination of the wildfire talent, healing everything in sight like a big alpha omega support bear with 100k dps and 100k hps that fills your group with envy, wishing they were you. They most likely will logout immediately and go buy a character boost for a galaxy breaking excelsior guardian Druid.
