Pretty pleased with the Drakthyr now

I’ve just seen some of the new Drakthyr customization options and I’m actually pretty pleased with them.

Seeing the new bulkier model options in that little video clip at the bottom are pretty good now. Especially the number 4 option, more muscles like that make it look cooler. As well as seeing the armour sets on them look amazing too, I assume those will probably be the dragon flight (covenant) like sets maybe.

And I made this thread a while back about my dislike for the Drakthyr model, but I’m pleased with the changes I’ve seen since then regarding body type.

I’m also happy that we can choose to be in Dragon or Humanoid form. I can actually pick when I look like what which is pretty awesome.

I must of missed that part, but cool if thats true.

Dracthyr seem to be a race that Blizzard is putting absolute maximum effort into. Multiple body types (for the very first time ever), so many scale color options, tons of horns and facial styles…I could not have asked for anything more, this is looking incredible.

Better not be teasing us about the pink and purple.

I agree, pink and purple sounds too good to be true.

Wait, I didn’t know about that, is that real?

The only thing I am still asking for is to be able to tank on one, and to stay in dracthyr form when mounted…okay 2 things but still.

…they did it all for you! They knew you would burn if they didn’t flip the waffle. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I am liking them enough thus far, but I’m hoping for a more sleek black look, the darkest color is kind of a brownish gray. I like the teal looking ones the best though, and green isn’t bad. The red one needs to be a bloodier looking red, to me, but it’s not horrible.

Overall it’s a good start, hoping they have more they are holding back with…

yeah, this fixes a lot of the issues I had with them.

Just adding a bit more to my previous post:

Blizzard honestly could have gotten away with five scale options. Bronze, Blue, Green, Red, and Black. Hell, they could have left out Black if they wanted to be lazy. They could have come up with some halfcocked story reason for that.

But no. They not only gave us all five flights, but they gave us Chromatic (purple), several different shades of each flight, as well as totally unique colorations like White and Gray/Silver.

The faces have a nice range, too. There are the sleek, slender, rounded faces, as well as the hard, scaly, jagged ones. It’s just…wow. I’m surprised I’m so impressed. I had all but given up on Blizzard at the start of Shadowlands, but if this is the kind of effort they’re willing to put in going forward, sign me back up.

I just noticed that they also have several different tail styles. God, yes.

I didn’t see that either until you pointed it out, it’s cool.

Looking at the pictures of different head styles, I’m also noticing that you can mix and match the primary and secondary color of scales.

This is going to be so hype. I’ll be in this character creator for over an hour, I know it.

I don’t think Blizzard would show off a customization option that wouldn’t actually be available, but they’ve surprised me before.

They once advertised bright yellow vulpera we never got.
