Pretty bummed about BG implementation

Do want a PvP community, I want a community on my server, and was hoping we’d have 3 server per battle group. The servers are mega servers compared to Vanilla and many times larger. Figured 3 servers would suffice as battle-groups, but apparently not! Entirely region based battle-groups is insane!

Having every server in North America in the same battlegroup is pretty equal.

Even the groups from vanilla had queue issues because they can’t predict how much of the population on those servers will participate. I understand why everyone will be pooled together its a simple option; however, it would be interesting to see that it makes no difference to reduce times. If Horde are the PvP dominate faction a larger pool of alliance will still be a minority, so everyone together may just be a logistics solution.

I get the desire for community - you would definitely need one to have someone to talk to while you waited in a 3 hour BG queue.

Op you should go back to private, this is classic. #classicwow

Same here man… I was so excited for classic, I assumed the BG’s would be server only and I looked forward to making a name for myself like I did in vanilla. It was really fun to have people cheer that I was in the BG. Not bragging but I was almost always highest damage and really high K:D ratios. People notice when you do that over and over and it got people amped up for the fight to know they had a ringer on their side.

I also remember having certain nemesis on alliance… There was one hunter that I swear lived to ruin my day… we had LOT of back and fourth fights with both of us winning and losing to one another. We would pretty much abandon the battle to attack one another. He was good and fun to fight with.

I was really disappointed to see that BGs were X realm.

So in other words, anything lower than 60 would have 3 hour queue times. And unless you play on a full server at peak time even then it would take 40 minutes to get a wsg pop. Gotcha, sounds like good times.

Was that system even implemented in classic? Like did the system know to only group premades vs premades?

Cheaters suck. Period.

Your over sensationalising. On my server in vanilla they were never that bad. I bet they might be for horde now with how unbalanced the factions are regardless of xserver or same server.

Why do people like you go looking for shxt on the ground to roll around in just to complain about being dirty?

Crazy how people already made a name for themselves and how others will continue to do so in bgs.

Like what is stopping you from recognizing names?

As someone who remembers five hour bg queues and the opposing faction only queueing for a specific bg making the other two impossible to get into…

…I get your point but CRBGS have far more pros than cons.

I know right!!! BLIZZARD NEEDS TO FIX THIS!!!

Are BGs really going to be all servers connected? If so I’m happy about that.

The only difference between players on different realms is what’s next to their name:

Name-(server name)

Not a big deal.

It’s very impersonal. Haven’t been in a Classic AV with the same tank yet. I’m guessing that they don’t want a community developing around BGs apart from pre-mades.

It’s day one of bgs. Give it like 3 weeks (maybe more, maybe less. Ymmv) and you’ll begin to see regulars, certainly if you have consistent playing hours.
