Blizzard Developers’ notes: Preservation has been underutilized lately, in part due to the range restrictions of the specialization.

They realize the issue and just buff throughput. Their HPS isn’t bad. The utility is great. The range restrictions make them miserable to play on some raid fights and M+ bosses.
Lols. The only thing worse than ignoring objective reality in the very game you’re developing, is directly acknowledging that reality…and then changing something unrelated as a “solution”.
Blizzard stubbornness and pet project stupidity is truly astonishing, as is their apparent need to claim complexity where it doesn’t exist.
If the problem is the range…then fix the range. You set the standard at 40 yards years ago…so use it like you should have in the first place. A 10 year old could figure this out. Use some common sense.

You haven’t even played pres since season one (shocker) and you didn’t even know how to play it then.
Pres feels amazing with these buffs. Stop looking for something to complain about and just learn to actually play your class instead of being bad and blaming the range.
Yeah idk I barely ever play pres and I swapped to it on a fyrakk for the dispels and I no joke focused almost solely on damage and still did as much healing as two other healers with basically just the occasional TA and dream breath/SB, lol.
Doing close to 150k hps while basically memeing and DPSing a top 20 parse while not even using most of my healing spells is pretty damn solid throughput.
I will agree that the dispell having 40yds would make the spec feel great, though.
It feels pretty strong right now. Maybe try actually playing it before complaining?

They cite part of the problem as range…and then leave the range alone. Same as the op, trying to understang the logic behind admitting a specific problem with your own design, and then changing something completely different in response. …the hell? Sure, the buff is needed…but the problem mentioned is still there.
You’re viewing it the wrong way. They weren’t saying ‘hey you have less range–in order to fix that, we’re buffing something else’.
They are saying “Hey you have less range than other healers and we don’t feel like there’s adequate compensation for that (as has been complained about on these forums ad nauseum). Here’s a bunch of throughput and survivability to make the tradeoff more reasonable.”
You’re sending mixed messages. Either you know what you’re doing and think others have no idea how to play well if YOU can accel while barely trying, or you don’t know what you’re doing but are telling people who presumably do to “try harder.”
Which is it?

Saying I’m getting tons of throughput and I’m not even close to maximizing the spec because I don’t heal frequently is not mixed for anyone above a third grade reading level.
You routinely look so ignorant on these forums, I’m surprised you even keep coming back. It looks like your own guild even has people trolling you for being benched for poor performance, lol. Must be some sort of masochism thing

Limecat is CONVINCED I was benched from my guild. I do not know him and have long since Ignored him for his blatant harassment and misinformation. I stopped raiding because I started a new job, but reality isn’t something he seems interested in.
