We know the wow classic prepatch will allow the creation of the two new races introduced in tbc. How long should the prepatch be?
6-8 weeks IMO.
Boosting will basically die in prepatch so everyone will be leveling again.
Well the higher level boosts anyway.
It’s going to be a blast, going to be doing double goat ele shaman with my duo!
BESTO FRIENDO!!
This.
I think the original was about 5.5 weeks.
Mages can still boost at least through SM (and ZF if the carries can get to the GY area)… That basically only leaves 52+ unboosted.
BE Paladins will be boosting people by the end of the 5th day post patch.
Level cap is still 60 so I doubt any gear exists enough for a pally to go further than stocks.
AOE cap will be in for mages.
They can still do ZF with cone of cold I suppose.
I think it will refresh straight leveling tho, so I can’t wait.
Since I have no desire to rush to end game I’m going to ignore the pre-patch. Most of the people in pre-patch won’t be playing the game the way I find fun. I’ll start my Belf pally when BC is released to avoid the congestion in Hellfire. I’ll boost a druid when the congestion dies down while also playing this priest
I will be in the congestion…
Then I will load into Ramparts and have none.
As I work on my honor hold rep.
All paladins.
Hoping for a bit longer maybe 3-4m. As for people all leveling it depends if people intent there vanilla character for tbc or to stay in classic, so boosting will still be a money maker early.
I agree with some others, it will probably be around 6 weeks.
My guild is already talking about boosting the people who reroll paladins… by using hunter and warlock pets to kill mobs for them. I have no idea if this works or not. I don’t think all of this is needed but I guess helping people is good.
I’ll probably roll a blood elf mage just for something to do.
Looking forward to the prepatch now.
Not about making money, prepatch will add the stuff that stops boosting and pallys at 60 aren’t strong enough to do higher level boosting.
Aoe cap will be in prepatch.
Well horde gotta level first, alliance paladins can be boosting immediately, but yeah.
Paladins will be able to boost people to 52ish, same as mages. Both can do zf gy solo and SM should be a joke. It’s anything higher than that, that will likely be a problem.
Boosting die?
The age of mages is over.
The time of the Paladin has come.
I’m rerolling paladin horde side, but refuse to pay boosters. If they do the nerf to leveling that came in 2.3, there wont really be a purpose to get boosted anyways.
I meant die for now.
Pallys will take over in tbc for sure.
I just don’t think in prepatch pally will be strong enough to boost high level stuff.
Wasn’t it like 30% less xp required to hit 60?
Yeah… most people really underestimate the impact that the 2.4.3 leveling experience is going to have…
1-30 in current classic can be done in 18hours currently completely fresh… You’re going to see prepatch people capable of doing so in under 15 or even 14hours with the kind of twink gear/enchants/consumables/librams people have been stockpiling for this. It honestly likely won’t even be worth the time trying to hunt down boosters to carry you.
Paladins in particular, since they can solo boost zf 40-52 in about 10 hours (I’ve heard as high as 54) are basically going to have the speed levelers getting under 3 days /played to 60…
And hell, from 54 you could get a guild group to just spam LBRS with you and you’d be 60 in no time at all.
I did graveyard in ZF till 54 on this mage.
This was back with the cone of cold method.
I basically got my epic Mount from it too.
I think leveling 1-60 was what… like 30% nerf. thats gonna make it so much easier cause you wont have to travel around and hunt quests and grind mobs as long so youll save even more time from less travel and lv 30 mounts.
