It would be awesome if Blizzard would go ahead and release the prepatch on May 4th. Keep the beta going for raid testing and end game but allow us to start leveling the new races and have a little something fresh because classic is getting stale atm. Plus, I have like 5 solid days off next week lol.

Man you should be spending those five days off, fishing, hiking, taking a trip somewhere. Live a little. Play the game when its rainy, and nothing else to do for the day.

Hmm, I still haven’t seen a response/update/patch note about the professions bug yet- I’d at least want to know that that one is fixed before prepatch goes live.

They will never launch the prepatch without an telling us at least a week in advance. Expect announcements for dates this up coming week.
IF they don’t tell us when the official release is for TBC but give us pre patch date. Chances are the prepatch will last a while.

Yeah they would definitely announce it way before, basically just dreaming because it would be cool to have something like a release time up with down time from work.

I don’t have a problem waiting for thing man, I just like to think about things that could line up for me. For example, if the may 18 date is legit, I’ll have no time to log in because of work schedules. Just dreaming a bit.
Thanks for explaining. I know people are excited and it would be nice to have things line up with a schedule. I just want them to make sure any real bugs are ironed out before the prepatch.

Yeah I had thought they would, but the way the retail patch looks to be progressing, they will have to prepatch soon or run the risk of putting out both content for retail and classic at the same time similar to shadowlands launch with naxx release. It seems like it would be better for them to manage the spikes in subs if they staggered the content.
While i’m still hoping for prepatch on the 18th, i at least expect an annoucement within the next two weeks. There’s still quite a few bugs in beta that need to be ironed out but the raid testing (with upgraded kara) seems to be going well. 2-3 weeks should be enough from where we stand.
Gotta test that profession stuff tomorrow tho, see if mining and what not’s still bugged.

I truly hope for a mid-May is the release date, as that would basically make mid-June launch… and I can book off time.
