on top of that there is a broom toy that clears the scourge plague. so why even bother nerfing event? doing the minichain introduction to icecrown takes 15 mins - and that includes killing nathanos(with smart use of portals)
Nobody opts for warmode, there’s more war with trade chat political trolls. Everyone is just spaced out hiding in their own little phase and avoiding everyone else.
Did the event of old get annoying? Sure at times when you were questing but it’s also a temp event and there were other locations to level. During Wrath there was many alt places to level for any level. that’s not changed in retail.
Heaven forbid a world event have some world impact.
Seriously how many of you are actually leveling up or anything to where this event would be such a drag?
How do you manage to find flaw in the only legitimately good part of the event? The 2 minute grace period is fine. It’s the 20 minute spawn timers that are the issue.
maybe they will for this event and see what you see in how awesome you think it is.
If they don’t, oh well, you’ll have fun and they won’t
There are horde players that think this way about your new skin tone.
And I was just going to say that if the devs had simply kept our garrisons up to date, folks would go back to spending most of their playtime there and wouldn’t have reason to complain about a 2-week event that people SHOULD remember for decades to come.
Like the original scourge invasion.
This ain’t anywhere close to that.
Can’t believe the devs will listen to whiners about something as short-lived as this, but they’ll keep insisting that flight should forevermore be kept behind a grindwall because some newbies felt offended by the sight of players…flying.
Gasp!
Nah. The people gleefully boasting about how they were going to grief people got it nerfed.
Shooting down all considerations for an opt-in with “just don’t log in a for a week” got it nerfed.
The people who wanted the old Wrath event insisted on all or nothing. They got nothing.
Nah the developers keep flight behind a grindwall because it suits their own purposes. It was never done to mollify any group of players, it was done because it suits them in terms of how they want to design content and how they want that content to be consumed.
The original scourge invasion was so incredible that I occasionally took a gryphon between Redridge and Westfall (because we couldn’t fly in Azeroth until Cataclysm) just to safely fly over and through Stormwind to see so many scourge running wild with oh-so-many player skeletons left underfoot.
Breathtaking.
Take out the ghoul thing? Okay fine apparently some people didn’t like it. But never mind that, this pre patch events are just plain trash.
it’s not taken out, just that some can opt out has a couple of posters in a tizzy
with good reason. Being able to opt out of a world event is dumb in itself. There should be a limit to player choice when it comes to events, and the mmo world what happens in it.
If we get dull events like this, take away some of the player choices. Blizzard needs to go back to what a MMORPG is.
they can still grief eachother
Though I will meet with equal disdain anyone that puts warmode on and complains as well. There is a choice
You show my someone that complains about choice, I’ll show you someone that thinks everyone plays only for their amusement.
Ps, anyway I can replace my Katy messenger with your mogged avatar? I’d summon it more often
No, there shouldn’t.
Sorry you can’t grief some people but if you turn the WM on you may be able to grief me. That’ll make you feel better.
If we restrict gameplay choice we don’t have an RPG, we have things like fortnite.
If Blizzard wants to give me the ability to pause my game time usage or if you guys want to pay the 2 weeks while this event is going on, I’ll happily stay logged off for those weeks while you all have at it.
And yet I completely ignore their wishes by dungeon-grinding to maximum.
Screw them.
That event looks AWESOME.
I hate pvp but that isn’t really pvp it’s just… zombie tag. I’m so sad we won’t get that.
Rather not. First one was terrible.
Then again, this one is also terrible. Terribly boring.
Dumb logic. You dying in a video game due to a invasion is not griefing. It is called the world changes. The game state also changes, and it is only for a short amount of time. You are to adjust to the world, not the world adjust to your needs.
The fact that players can opt out of a game changing event in a MMO shows Wow is a second rate mmo.
I mean it’s the argument of flavor vs function. Some just prefer function.
