Fixed that for you. To be honest I care if you find this version boring about as much as you care that I would have found the original version annoying.

The same players that ptr it complained about it because it was too bad and players complained about it would interfere with quests,dailies etc.No one wins,Even i was told i was a troll for agreeing to both sides of the argument.
In a video game. A times it is ok to be a victim of something you don’t like. If other elements of the game you do enjoy still sticks around, or if it is a limited time.
This event hasn’t even gotten me to log into my main. I’ve been playing other stuff.

This is called story, its called immersion, its called its only around for a very limited time frame!

Turn on warmode then for the ‘story’ and immersion. Isn’t this what you want or is it that you want to make others who don’t want to participate in that pvp stuff unhappy.

If it was griefing then Blizzard would be banning players.
I can’t even get my husband to do it. He is playing the new assassin creed game, saying this version is not worth his time of day. Most of the time it is him talking me into playing wow. This is just bad.

I am enjoying a kind of “WoW’s Greatest Hits”-form of nostalgia, but if I didn’t have a fondness for this kind of throwback, I can see how it’s rather uninspired. Even compared to the 8.3 N’Zoth assaults.

It brings communities together defending the gates of stormwind. Oh no youd prefer that when a major lore item that basically controls the scourge is destroyed the best the undead can muster is two zombies to attack stormwind…

It’s bad when prepatch event happens and you’re derping around on Sims 4 cause it’s more interesting (and you’re making an awesome 80s bowling alley).

Correct, you playing the victim for a two week event that adds to the immersion of things. The world is not safe or should not be safe right now.
Being "grief " for a short time would add more to the gameplay for others. Maybe less for you sure, but overall it is a limited time. You got other things you can do.
So yes, this “grief” would have been a good thing for the game. Playing it safe gets us events like this.

Imagine what the game would look like if there was player kill mode.
Imagine these people experiencing their personal version of fun and immersion at the expense of others.
I don’t even want to imagine a game like that.
There are other better games with that and I never wanted to experience them.
