The up to 10x drop chance increase for mounts will be here on July 1st and will end on July 29th.
I want to make this post to try to help everyone prepare by giving realistic estimates for mount attempts after the drop rate boost goes live.
I made a long post explaining mount farming from a statistics point of view so I wont reiterate on how I calculated these you can look here if you want to review.
For 1% raid/dungeon drops:
90% of players will have a drop by 22 attempts
99% of players will have a drop by 44 attempts
For 0.5% raid/dungeon drops:
90% of players will have a drop by 46 attempts
99% of players will have a drop by 90 attempts
Most players will get drops before these points but if you want to have the best chance possible you should prepare as many characters as you can so that you can reach these attempt numbers.
The best preparation is making a list of all the people who have these rare drop mounts now so come next week you know who to whisper when one of the rare mounts start dropping for you.
I agree. This is one of the best things Blizzard has done lately. It will give everyone a chance to farm these mounts. Guild is already planning nights for some clears and I have a lot of lots I can use.
Underrot I have the M+ portal so all 80s can hit that daily.
King’s Rest I don’t, but M+ timeways to Motherlode is right there.
Return to Karazhan… just gonna have to fly there from SW or Blasted Lands. At least it’s right next door to Zul’gurub.
Primary smith is ready to Dal hearth>pet dungeon teleport to Molten Core, will only mess with alts if I somehow don’t get the Eye by the 4th week.
Dal hearth>capital>Shattrath>Queldanas for Thoridal.
BT will be a pain, just have to fly over since no alts did the quest chain for a teleport.
Dal hearth>pet dungeon teleport for Stratholme.
Tomb of Sargeras, Antorus, SancDom and Sepulcher will just have to go the old fashioned way.
I got the BLR after about 6k kills last event, so I have a good feeling about you getting it in the next LiitA.
Ashes will hopefully happen with the legacy buff!
Unfortunately though, can’t see you getting Invisible.
