That is how we think it works, in which it does not. Non existent.
I would rather have it fully opened up for every size group with access to queues.
This is completely doable with some efficient matchmaking in place.
Nothing has to be too extreme, a modicum of seemly balanced settings will work imo.
Are you aware of the Matchmaking systems that are available to AAA gaming? Namely Activision Blizzard? Microsoft?
MMR starts to look like an ancient being in comparison to how these systems can make the players feel.
I don’t think it would really split; I think most premades would dissolve pretty quickly like the various times Blizz murdered XP-OFF communities.
I would imagine a solo-only queue with no bounds would be the fastest to pop - doesn’t care about rating, about spec, about role - just 10 people here, 10 people there, go.
More like how they murdered queue times/activity due to less players being able to play.
Twink eras queue times were always fantastic!
Nothing like what we are working with in this thread.
Looks like some fresh posts are up which coincides with the first comment.
See, it didn’t really hurt random queues though; it just destroyed those stuck funneling into the XP-OFF queue.
I mean we’re all kinda guessing here - if there are thousands queuing and it became solo-only, you’d never see a queue ever. But… if there’s only a few instances running at once, then everyone will be waiting regardless.
The only time you’d see increased queues with a solo-only queue is if there literally aren’t 20 people pressing queue. Which honestly may be a thing considering how often I see the same people.
But really though; splitting queues would only hurt premade groups - solo queuers would likely even get in instances faster.
Why do we have to separate anything? We can have everything working in unison imo.
The tech is there.
Lots of confusion out here around these subjects, on one hand players want a another Button to press for Premade vs Premade (Matchmaking). On the other hand we are being told in this thread it will not work. From the same person/characters.
The levels of confusion are alarming.
Without knowing how many are queuing up, we have no way of know.
On one hand, people are saying this is already happening. On another, people are saying that the majority of people are playing in groups. If that’s the case, then the impact would be negligible.
Without knowing the numbers, we have no way to know. I’m not trying to be obtuse, but you’re making an assumption. Since the people in this thread can’t even agree that it is or isn’t already happening, why am I going to assume there is going to be a negative impact on queue times?
Am i gonna be the only one criticized for speculation while this guy types this? LMFAO
Restrictions have never led to faster queue times. We have a decade of multiplayer games to see this phenomenon. At this point we are just spamming voice lines at each other so I’m gonna firmly shake your hand
you’re really convinced that Phil Spencer himself is gonna walk into blizzard, pull up an ide and just single handedly code all your whack ideas into fruition huh?
