Premades should fight Premades. Simple as that

Long past the point I should be facing premades match after match. BGs are fun because they’re random and mostly uncoordinated. If you want to play with a group, fine… face other groups. Getting stomped and having your time wasted is pointless and kills the game.

easier fix is to just cap premade groups to 3 players instead of 5

Would be fine with that, but if people want to make a group of 5, then just put them against another group. Queues have been really fast lately, so I don’t think it would make much different even if it was 5, but something needs to be done. Spending two matches sitting in a GY and being faced with deserter or being removed for going afk sucks. Oh, I’m just supposed to either stay dead and risk getting ‘reported’ or just continuously die for 15 minutes because some people want to farm hks…

Just do BGB if you are solo or duo queueing.

Just like your other post. Longish Queue times, people seemingly purposely dropping queues. I’m always signed up for it but im maybe doing 1 BGB to 3-4 Random BG.

The node games AB and Deepwind also seem to be incredibly fast winning/losing which I’m not particularly enjoying.

i want this so much, most horde premades just tend to dodge so it screws over the horde pugs that just get steamed.

Why would I want todo an RBG? Waiting to queue with a bunch of people? No thanks.

Agree with the title, matched groups at the very least. Cross faction too.

It’s not gonna happen. Splitting the queues will just crank the queue times for everyone.

Best just make some friends and queue with them

It’s not about making friends though. I just want todo something that’s actually casual. If they want BGs to have a rated BG experience, then start treating them as such. While I get your sentiment, if enough players voiced their opinion, I could easily see something changing. Given how many people are in queue these days, I doubt it would increase times by much, if at all.

For every person who complains about premades, there is someone who advocates for them. Just remember this is a group-based mmo, not a “let’s penalize anyone who wants to group because some people complain” mmo. Doing this penalizes both groups with longer queue times, likely much longer.

If this was 15 years ago, sure. There were enough people to consistently fill groups with solo players and premades for both factions. But we’re now dealing with the queue being split between arena skirms, 2s,3s, solo shuffle, RBGs, blitz, random battlegrounds, epic battlegrounds, brawls all with a fraction of the population there used to be. On top of 1 faction outnumbering the other.

The system already pits premade vs premade when it can. Chances are in most the games you were facing a premade you also had one on your team, you just didn’t know it. Just like you likely don’t know when the other team is a premade unless you recognize the players or see the same guild (and guild premades are usually bad anyway).

Blitz isn’t perfect, but if you want to fight people who aren’t together then it’s your best option. Getting mad and trying to exclude a large portion of the remaining playerbase isn’t really reasonable because queue times for premades will be astronomical - it’s not as easy as finding 2 groups of 5. Sometimes the groups are 2,3,4,5 and finding the exact right amount/number of groups on both sides in queue will be too much

I’ve yet to play a game where this has been the case

There’s not really a shrimple solution

People said the same about multiboxers.

Counter point. It’s far more of a penalty to people who simply want to play the game solo, which is the majority. Why, as a solo player, am I being put against groups? Makes no sense.

Says where?

Same realm/guild. Also, let’s not make this more complicated than it is. Most premade groups, even if they aren’t in the same guild or realm are easy to spot. Any decent player can.

Again, disagree. The experience overall would be better. If you think players getting farmed in a bg is good, which apparently you do, I’m going to have to disagree with that.

Where what has been the case?

Destiny 2 had a bit going (maybe still idk) where they split premades and queues were significantly longer (instant → 2-3 min during the day, 5-7 at night, games were significantly laggier at night)

I went through my library and uh I misremembered how many games split their queues for unranked modes, it’s basically only destiny (and that game is extremely stinky).

Regardless, it’s not groundbreaking science to see how long queues are right now, and the impact of splitting the player base further

And just as an aside, the most problematic form of grouping (syncing) is unaffected by splitting queues, one could even say the problem is magnified since they have a dedicated solo queue to bully.

Queues are fast. What do you consider long? I get the time impact, but compare that to have 15-20 minutes or longer wasted. Especially if you were in an RSS queue. If you drop, you get deserter and lose your RSS spot. So then you have to wait. So better just not doing anything.

I don’t think it would increase times much if at all. If you’re saying it would increase times a lot, then that would just point to how many premades are queueing at any given point… which only makes the problem sound even worse. If so many are in queue, then filling spots should be easy.

I think people are getting a tad confused here. I’m NOT saying that ONLY premades should fight premades. More like, you have two premades of 5 that face each other and the rest of the group fills with random players. The impact would be hardly noticeable.

I mean, if they want to start building groups based off average ilvl, I’d fine with that as well.

Nobody said the same about multiboxers. What? That was always a vast minority of the players who did that.

Why, as a player who likes to group with his friends, would they think it an OK idea to make queueing with friends near impossible? You just made the game mode that I like to play with friends virtually unplayable to me because you don’t want to play blitz. What was your first reason you gave? Ah ya you don’t like the long queue times.

This isn’t fair, I don’t like losing to premades!
I don’t like long queue times of blitz, it’s unacceptable
Let’s make things unfair for people who like to group and give them the long queue times I don’t want and try to make them think it’s extremely fair!

Go play in a group man. You’ll see, this has been common knowledge for years.

The average or “decent” person cries premade at every stomp. Unless you recognize the players on the other side as consistent premades you’re likely crying wolf far too often

Also, how in the world would same server = a premade. Are you really going to be one of those people? That hasn’t been a thing for ages. Guild, yes. Same realm? good lord

No I like the idea of premade vs premade. Those are by far the best games. Getting rivalries going with other groups is fun. All the solo q players miss out on this. The experience wouldn’t be better for anyone other than solo-q players, though, because premade vs premade games wouldn’t happen. As soon as the insane queue times kick in, premades leave the game.

Trying to convince me will do literally 0 good. I promise I’m never going to agree with you and I also don’t make any of the decisions. Even if I did agree with you I have 0 control over implementing any changes. I’m just explaining why your idea won’t become a thing

Your options are:
-Continue to queue random battlegrounds, break your keyboard everytime you see a premade, replace your keyboard with a new one so that you can type a rant on the forums
-Join a pvp community and queue with people and maybe save your keyboard
-Play blitz and take the longer queue time for an experience closer to what you’re looking for

5-7 average for alliance, I get a 2-3 pop once or twice a day

I get faster queues in Quake, Quake has an active player base of like 200-400 (global, I only queue NA) during the day

So yes, these queues are really slow imo

It absolutely would, restrictions always cause queue time increases. This is basically a rule.

This is fine, but the system should “give up” pretty quickly if an opposing group cannot be found

Also cross faction pls

Ok great, it was all a misunderstanding. Good news though, this is what happens now
