Premades have completely ruined the PvP BG experience. Do something already

Do you know how weird you’re being right now?

Imagine playing tough guy in a video game. Strange, but I suppose not totally unexpected of a WoW player.

Huh?

Bro, what even are you? Disparaging remarks? You came out swinging and now you’re saying put up or shut up? You’re literally beneath everyone posting here.

Okay dude.

The literal equivalent of “say that to my face.”

I lost about as many fights as I won, stopped when I became an adult. It saddens me to think back at how I was, much prouder that I learned to walk away. I’m no tough guy. Growing up I didn’t think I’d make it to 18.

idk why is it hard to understand, random team vs a premade, NOT “friends” I guarantee you, the premades are formed from communities, full of ppl that want quick wins aka quick conquests, taking advantage over this old, broken, overlooked system

Ok so a solution list. I think a combination of 2 or 3 of the following would do 95% of killing premades.

  1. randomized queue delay of a few seconds. Would add a bit to the queue time but not much. solo randomly drops you into the queue 10-15 seconds after clicking. Group randomly drops your group into the queue 5-30 seconds after clicking.
  2. cross faction queuing to balance numbers, and allow for possible queue into the wrong bg, and lower queue times. (I would also implement a opt in to see that you are cross queuing…ie if you don’t opt in everyone just looks like they are your faction to keep some of that vibe)
  3. queue drop delays after 2 drops in a day. building up to a 24 hour pvp queue ban
  4. a system to try to not have the same groups every pvp queue by prioritizing match making based on the last 2 games you played and prioritize group pairing to mix it up.
  5. match queued group sizes so each team has the same groups. If team 1 has a 5 man group team 2 must as well. If team one has 2 five mans, and team 2 only has 1 then the second 5 man from team one will be bumped to the next queue.

I think if all were implemented it would totally go away, but a few of these and most would. I think 1 should not be done without 2 to mitigate the queue time slowdown, even though it is small.

edit: just to keep them all in the same place I added 5

I think 2 would fix the majority of it. 3 would be nice, but I think just putting a hard cap on the number of groups that can join a single BG would stop the majority of it.

I think adding in this would be an option
5. all groups must be paired with a group on the opposite team or be bumped to the next bg. So if 1 side has 2 five mans and the other only has 1, as soon as there are another 5 people in line to get in, team 1’s second 5 man gets bumped to the next queue. Only apply it for games with more than 1, 5 man

That is a wonky explanation but the point is matched group sizes within the bg teams. If both end up with 2 fives great, if not then you rejigger.

Not sure if you saw this, but there is hope we might get it in more places.

Actually I think we are. I think this boils down to one side enjoying an mmorpg being played with group play and another side hating on the other side because they don’t play with anyone else for whatever reasons. This wouldn’t be the same game being played alone.

Had not. If they do, that would kill most of the premade groups. While it would still be somewhat possible, it would be a big set back. Hopefully they do that and then distribute players based on ilvl.

lmao

Maybe this will come as a shock to you, but the very nature of BGs requires people to play with each other.

If you spent your time actually thinking about what you say before you post, you probably wouldn’t come off as the troll you’re currently coming off as. Hope that helps!

It’s pretty wild what mental gymnastics people will go through to support this. At this point it really is a gang mentality.

We are losers for not joining a gang and taking advantage of people apparently. What a sad way to look at life. No empathy at all. Really not trying to troll here, it really is a sad outlook. How do people get that far into crazy territory.

You’re a prime example of what I said. If you don’t understand the difference in playing with an actual group and playing with pugs you got dumped into a Blizzard made group with then we are, in fact, playing two different games. I feel for you.

Pretty much. They know as much as well.

The best part of this thread is just showcasing the responses from both sides. One side is trying to actively find solutions and even trying to make the other side happy… And one side calling anyone who disagrees bad, a whiner, cry baby, rats, etc.

I agree, Adrio, you’re side is pretty toxic.

Yup gonna keep reposting the list of what we can do to fix things to anyone that is flinging poo going forward.

Solution or just go away ya know?

Every time you pvp and hit what feels like a premade drop a not peeps. Let’s not let up.
