I just want to make another post to let Blizz know that they’ve ruined battlegrounds with premades, in the hopes that a multitude of posts about this will make change happen. I’ve played for 11 years with my kids, and we used to love a good epic battle, where we’d win about 40% of the time. Now, I have to que for 15 battles to win ONE because of premades. If someone even says “premade” half the team leaves or gives up. My kids have left the game to play new stuff I have no interest in. I’ve tried, but I hate Roblox. I love WOW, and I’m too old to start over. I get that premades are a thing, but why can’t premades que with other premades? Even if there’s more horde than alliance, let them play against each other with a generic red vs. blue. Epic battles are for casual players. To be real, I’m not that good at the game. That’s what arenas and mythic raids are for. Epic battles and LRF should be fun for casual players who work all day and just to feel a win once in a while. Lately, it feels like we lose every damn time before we even begin. The odds are stacked against us. This is how blizz loses casual players. The game has a lot of content for hardcore players, including WOW classic. Let casual players have epic BGs and LFR back. Stop premades or get them out of our que. And FFSake make marks of honor WORTH something besides feasts. I have 187 and they’re useless.
I think have a few thousand of these.
You’re spot on though. Blizzard does nothing and they don’t even follow the guidelines they impose on us. What good is a social contract if there are tons of players who openly and blatantly grief other players while abusing the games queue system.
It’s unfortunate now the conversation has been tainted by players thinking that all forms of PVP are being abused by queue syncing. I was planning todo another larger post, but shelved it for now.
Just keep posting! Well done. And as a long time wow player it’s sad to see your fav game be ruined by cheating. Deliberate blatant cheating.
Epics used to be a lot of fun!
Yes, keep posting. It’s helping.
Maybe by the 40th anniversary, they’ll have this all sorted out.
The 5 man groups plaguing regular battlegrounds may not be queue sync premades , but they’re just about as offputting when you run into one.
Just because they’re not arguably breaking rules doesn’t mean it isn’t a problem.
For sure, but I think the small number of those groups isn’t enough to warrant change. It would be great if the game was actively trying to place groups vs groups, but I’d assume we’ll never get there. The epic premades have just completely ruined that content. I did a few on my boomkin last week and still managed to run into a couple of them. First epics I had done in months and the last I will do for awhile. Pretty disappointing.
High end players say “nothing to see here”, playing masses say there is. But instead of complaining, they just quit, take their money to other game companies. So time will tell, if players vote w their wallets and there is a problem Blizz should fix it…
Or they can GO ____, GO BROKE lol. Microsoft can sell Blizzard to Tencent, I would say GOOD, the company that made Rivals know what gamers want, and they are rollin in tha cash!
Sadly, idk wot they can do about it. Same kind of players will just find another way around it regardless. For me I ignore and make the best of it , but I’m on a rogue so can just stealth off and gank or afk watch netflix till its over.
Most premades ( Gaming Visigoths, lol) and preteams are PvP communities. Some are pure toxic, and some are pure awesome. Sadly, there are those whose gaming styles are too aggressive for gaming, they could easily stop this and even balance wins with both red and blue teams, it is not even Horde vs Alliance anymore as community raids have Alliance and Horde players, and all too often, members on both sides of the Random BGs. Also, specific PvP communities often use underhand tactics such as mass-reporting another player to get them banned, including bullying and harassing players to make them mad and react in chat.
Also, aggressive premades are all too often blamed on gamers from Russia (sometimes true), when in fact, the real toxic WoW communities are those who frequent these forums to complain about or defend premades. As a WoW casual gamer, and also not that good (but I still love the game), I have been threatened and textually abused via chat as recently as Tuesday, August 8th, and Wednesday, August 9th, in two separate Random BGS by well-known names involved in PvP communities.
Ensuring all community leaders have a Blizzard authenticator assigned to their accounts would help address specific issues. Random Battles grounds is not the only place where the rot is prevalent! I also firmly believe that friends can still join a random BG and work with the raid as a team to help overcome aggressive gaming communities. I still have fantastic fun, but like so many others, I get frustrated with other gamers trying to affect my paid gaming time with their toxic gaming styles and communities.
As long as the m+ carebears are buying tokens PvP especially epic bgs…ain’t gonna see no love. The game and PvP especially needs an entire overhaul. Not gonna happen with our current leader
Hey I finally got my character to 80 and grabbed hobor gear.
So if anyone wants to let me join their premade I’d be down to faceroll some folks who are undergeared and havent yet reached 80 and gotten their honor gear so they too can join a premade.
But really, Im looking for a group for nights maybe like in the window of cst 9-12 am or pm I could join once or twice a week?
Lol. Yeah, I don’t care if they post, but most of them include hyperbole or outright untruths. BGs should be designed around players who know how to play them, and that’s basically people who play with partials/premades. To design them around people who cry on the forums constantly making things up would be insane.
Blizz should have all the data they need about epic BGs for any changes or adjustments. But they won’t even tune them regularly which shows how much they care.
What is frustrating is that while many of WoW’s PvP problems are more systemic issues with the game overall that would not be easy or simple to fix (button bloat, cc, addons, etc), a lot of it is simple and easy to fix.
There’s so much that would be fixed overnight if random and epic battlegrounds were made cross faction and group and role balancing added. Again, that would absolutely not fix everything and you’d still get lopsided matches, but it would be a lot better than it is currently.
But this… this right here… expecting to win, regardless if you are casual or whatever, is simply why you lose. You have to earn a win even if the odds are stacked. Too many players just give up at the first hint of an even or hard fight.
Stop expecting wins. Fight. Earn them. Work with who you have and try to get them to communicate and work together.
I was in an epic bg last night and we had 12 healers, we were like oh yeh gonna be eas… NOPE crazy hard fight and we lost, however both sides fought like mad and it turned out to be a VERY fun ebg. We even took back hanger (IOC) and really came close to pushing the other team back.
You give up. You lose. (we may have lost that fight, but we had a lot of fun, and that is what we play for)
I’m a rogue, I always fight. I always cause havoc even if we’re losing. I have max conquest gear, too. I played in 40 battles over 3 days and we only won once. That’s messed up. It’s not normal.
Dont worry WoW n Blizzard will get better… Its not just AAA gaming companies, Stellantis makers of jeep, they had a euro ceo, tried to turn it into an overprices luxury car, yeah they going under. Lot rot, no one paying 100k for a jeep lol. Harley did the same too, they just fired their CEO. Whole AAA gaming world trying to sell way over priced slop, milk ya with microtransactions, they losing big time. EU just banned Microtransactions in gaming, mainly targeting Activision Blizzard. Microsoft title South of Midnight launched, a whopping 1k players, crash and burn.
Companies have a choice, straighten up or go BROKE!!! Gamers vote w their wallets. Gamers dont care about the goofy modern politics, they just want good games.
Pretty big news actually, banning microtransactions… So if Blizzard cant gig ya for money on the side, think they are still gonna allow 3rd party websites to rake in that cash? lol. I hope tha BOOSTERS saved n invested that money, if not just remember, I want extra cheese on ma burger please. chop chop! Dont live above your means in tha “gaaaaming condo” lol.
Regular and epic bgs are intentionally casual content. There is rated content for players that want to be more competitive.
Players who are tired of the game being exploited aren’t crying. The children are the pathetic players that feel like they need to stack a side to win.
Thats tha Spirit! Hey the worlds gonna do what it does, regardless of what you, I or anyone thinks… The cash flow decides what these companies do, if they wanna go broke then let em rot lol. Why I been firing up some Helldivers2… Historically WoW hits these low points where players quit, some suit in a board room gets yelled at, they make changes to the game and players return… all good!
Premades are making random BGs just so depressing. All I get is Tich premades. They are so over geared or skilled…idk. People instantly give up when they see em.
Not necessarily skilled. Most premades I see, each individual is not that good. Its their organization and ability to choose the specs they want that makes them win.
True in other games as well.
