Premade Blitz Fix

Obviously, people are queing at the same time and if the que doesn’t pop for all players in the group, they just don’t take the que and all of them re-que. It is not necessarily cheating, but it goes against what Blitz is supposed to be. There are RBGs for teams and Blitz should be random teams.

How do you fix this issue? Anyone who doesn’t take a que for Blitz gets a 15 min scaredy cat only for Blitz. If people still want to do premade for Blitz they could have to wait hours for all of them to get the same que.

Just ban all of them. Their queuing behaviors will be so far out of the norm and easily detectable if blizz made the effort to crunch the data, which they 100% have sitting somewhere.

I’m sure they know who is on what team and how many times people have played together, they also know when they que and how close their que times are, and they know if they are in the same Guild. You are right they have all the data to do something about it.

Yeah for sure. and if you layer all of that together. same people, queuing at the same time, rejecting 99th percentile level of queues that dont line up for them, somehow always in each others games - and all of this repeated consistently, then there is no missing what is going on. they can definitely reliably ban a huge % of the people doing this without falsely targeting innocents

Another way to stop queue syncing is fill 3 lobbies at the same time minimum, send all three lobbies of players notifications at the same time. Players from a 40 person queue sync community try to queue at the same time but when the queue pops they could be in any or none of those three instances. Having(seemingly) only one queue pop at the same time has taught queue syncers to just not accept the instance if they dont have several folks report in that it popped for them.

Another solution is anyone that queues for Solo BG just gets put in the instance when the queue pops. No need to request the players permission to start the match. Will some folks be afk? Yup, some people AFK now as soon as the match starts anyway so whats the difference.

I’ve dropped a good number of queues so far in TWW because the supply crate is so frequent it is often dropping the same time my queue pops. Dropped queues don’t always mean q-sync attempts.

I’ve only seen two obvious duo DPS that were together so far this season. They got lucky they got on the same team.

They could definitely input some minimal effort to scramble up the queues. It doesnt take much to derail this entire ploy. The problem is that it just reliably groups them together with the lowest effort - sitting in chat and pressing a button all at once.

While it may increase queue times by a minute or two to introduce some scrambling, protecting the integrity of the game is paramount. You cant have people cheating left and right and think that honest players will stick around.

they could also just dock you one at mmr game worth of CR for dodging a queue. This is what happens in every other ranked mode.

Man there would be so many matches where i would be afk for the first minute or two then. This is not the way to do it.

Should just lose rating for missing the queue like every other rated bracket.

You don’t lose rating for missing the queue in solo shuffle.

Which is an absurdity. its your basic responsibility to accept ranked queues if you queue up. All this does is introduce a huge abuse mechanic.

Whatcha thinking? -50cr per skipped queue?

It would probably completely delete abuse of rejecting queues by treating you as if you lost the proposed game. So MMR and CR drops based on losing the game that popped. More or less makes every dodge a loss, which isnt devastating to the average player, but would totally shut down the ability for sync abusers to make any progress via queue dropping.

That’s why I stay in the 1600 pool. More players.

Yes, that’s the ONLY reason why I’m still 1600.

Nobody is making that argument. That would be an absurd claim.

The problem is that when you open the avenue for abuse, it gets abused. Regular players make a variety of sacrifices of ‘convenience’ to allow for systems that regulate belligerent abuse of the ladder.

While the ultimate solution should be detection and banning of this behavior, i also think that it is asinine to allow for infinite queue dropping in a flipping solo queue ranked bracket. This is basic game design failure.

There are 100% people trying to q-sync the system, and they might influence a game or two once in awhile but for the most part their overall negative effect on matches would be small anywhere except at MMRs at very thin populations.

In DF, I suggested a escalating punishment system (time outs) for people who habitually drop queues.

That would be good. Like after 2-3 dropped queues in a row you can’t queue again for 30 mins and that would be across your account.

Sync queuing players would just rotate who drops the queue pop so it’s never multiple drops in a row.

Well its the only thing you can do to avoid hurting players who are playing properly.

Blizzard just needs to keep tweeking the queue system making it harder and harder…

Truth is about cheaters is as the game evolves so do they, cat n mouse game.
