Given the craziness with today’s patch, I feel like this thread is warranted. I’m letting blizzard know that if the WoW token is added to era, I will quit permanently. No questions asked. They need to actually spend time fixing the bot problem the right way and spend time on it. If you feel the same way let them know here.

Agreed. I will move back to pservers and never give blizzard another cent. I’m seriously starting to think they’re just doing what they can to get every penny out of the game before it inevitably fails due to their own incompetence.
Turns out that which kills that which has no life is Blizzard Entertainment.

I commend your stance, OP, but Blizz doesn’t care. Their target audience is whales. And dealing with bots means hiring GMs. And a bot is a paid sub too.
So they save money not paying GMs and attract masses of bots and whales.

I only play Classic and the Token is not Classic WoW. This buggy patch doesn’t have me worried though.
I would. I’d miss the game, but there are plenty of other ways to entertain myself.

yeah if wow token hits classic era it would be a huge reduction in players.
the community that players classic era vanilla is a bit different all the others.

If Classic had a WoW token then I would be VERY disappointed. However, watching just how many players blatantly admit to buying WoW gold… I don’t think the population will take that much of a hit.
Classic’s whaling season is closed until there’s a token or in-game boosting/itemshop.

This is a huge shift in how players are now, bigger than anything else I can think of.
I have kicked people from guild for buying gold, characters, etc back in the day. Fortunately that was just a couple people over my years playing but there was zero tolerance for it. I wasn’t an outlier here either, a friend of mine kicked a player from guild for buying arena carries and basically telling others to also buy their rating.
Now it seems to be generally accepted and folks look the other way as certain players literally buy items with real money. Many more seem to rationalize it as the best way to get what you want in the game.

Yup. There are multiples gdkps on era rn that pays out gold worth quite literally over 1000 USD each or sometimes more weekly.
I wouldn’t be shocked in the slightest if they put the wow token in era
Feed the monster and it will grow. I’m eternally grateful my guildies and my cluster is immunized against the gdkp cancer.
