This is the truest thing ever posted on this forum. There isnt any other logical reason that fits that botting has been allowed this openly for this often.
It was inevitable on a server that never ends. There’s no gold sinks really, all of it just funnels into GDKPS.
The payouts on a few of these are literaly worth over a thousand usd for a single raid.
Every week!
Yea the rampant gdkp cesspools are pretty sad
Could the old client have had vulnerabilities that this new patch addressed? What if our demands for better anti-bot enforcement required this update?
This was my thought for why so much of the UI and addons got fragged. LUA coding changes to try and address potential issues. What issues though we probably wont know for a few days.
Everybody buys gold anyway what’s the difference. Era revolves around gdkp and boosters. I wouldn’t lose sleep over it, nothing changes.
I don’t.
I would happily buy tokens, though.
Fixed that for ya
Back in the day, you kept your gold buying under wraps, if you did it at all. Blizz was also more heavy-handed when handing out bans for gold buyers. Now they don’t care.
We know. This is the line.
i dont care either way look how many bots there are ppl already clearly buying gold. blizzard isnt gonna spend money to ban bots that have to pay a sub. wow token wont really change the game all that much and besides u coupd pay for ur sub with the wow token
Yeah it sucks that Turtle will never feel as good as the Classic Client (When it isn’t broken) but I quit Wrath over the Token and I’m ready to swap to Hardcore on Turtle if need be
It’s one of the lines. Flying, transmog, and cross-faction classes are also No-Go ultimatums for Classic WoW.
Stop supporting bots by playing with people you know are buying gold. And stop buying gold!
You can say, “it’s not my job” all you want, but if you’re not reporting crime in your neighborhood, and nobody else is, as much as you expect police to do their job, they are busy working on solving issues that are being reported, not walking around looking for issues that aren’t.
Same, Koki. And others would go back to private servers. Those thrived before Classic and they’ll thrive after Blizzard yet again guts their version of the game. All that’ll be left are bots, boosters, and gdkp sellers on Classic
why are you laughing at all? Are you delusional or something?
Classic Era is dead.
Can you play it and there are other people playing it? of course it is. but it is a dead state.
I have characters in both clusters. They are not even close or similar to what it was during classic peak. It is literally made of raid loggers.
There is the renewed hype of the pvp reset and Hardcore. Hardcore will take people off classic era, of course. But once the initial hype runs out, the same people will be playing and that is not enough to call it a lively game.
Of course, you can come with your arguments and say that “live game is relative” and then we’ll never have an understanding.
It is very unfortunate but once the hype runs out people will dip. Always has been this way.
And I for one consider World of Warcraft Vanilla (or even classic) the peak of Online RPG and would very much like to play a re-fresh, but I am realistic.
Would you elaborate?
Which problems?
Me not being able to buy a token for Classic Vanilla, for one.
Freshers have now advanced from calling their realm dead in 17 days to calling it dead before it even launches!
For a game that has been concluded already (no more content), resetting it is only reasonable.
Also, Fresher is a term that I came up to point out people that wanted “fresh tbc” and “fresh wotlk” realms, and for a reason these were progressing games and wanting a “fresh experience” meant they were losers that didn’t make any worth with their characters and wanted another shot at doing it again only to fail once more.
It is a fact. Why are you even fighting against facts? SoM hyped lasted until Ragnaros was dead, then the amount of players dipped drastically. People went back to classic era but still, it is dead.
If you call having a mediocre number of active players active or that is a LIVING SERVER compared to classic peak, you’re another delusional.
A fact is a fact: once the hype dips out the number of players drop. The initial hype for something new is always appealing but it doesn’t last beyond the hype.
