Trying to level a 3rd toon (currently have lock and Druid) and in the process of a warrior, rogue, and shaman. Of the 3 listed, which do people think will perform best as a tank or dps in phase 2 (not counting potential new runes and stuff)? Will enhancement dps actually perform, or is it safer to go warrior/rogue?

Yeah, I really doubt they’ll be #2 in tanking or dps from here on out.

Shaman and Warrior may as well be tied in tanking.
Warrior wins with DPS with perfect gear and everything.
Rogue may out dps your warrior though.
Ret > most things.

I don’t think next phase is Glad stance although they do have access to Shield Slam. Glad stance was the most fun Dps warrior spec of all time for me. Not sure when they are adding it though. With that said Wars remain solid tanks.
Lets see if the classic client emulates pretbc windfury properly and you can proc it off itself when dualwielding different ranks

Never tried gladiator stance, when was that? How did it work?
The safe bet is warrior. If they nerfed warriors the tears would never, ever stop flowing. Warriors have been OP for so long that there’s many in the classic community who view warrior dominance as an essential pillar of classic gameplay, and then there’s many others who have been gaslight into believing it.

It was in WoD and the main reason I bought and played WoD.
For a long time we been asking for a Sword and Board Dps. Gladiator Stance was that and replaced D stance. It was a high attack relentless play style with huge Shield slams.
People loved it, however Blizz claimed it “confused” other players because they were like why is this Tank claiming to be Dps or why is this Tank doing so much dmg. Glad stance also wanted similar Tank gear since bonus armor and mastery increased their damage greatly.
So after WoD they removed it sadly instead of focusing on it more. Which was disappointing. Since it left it’s been one of the most requested warrior threads. So it’s been data mined that it’s coming too SOD. Also a birdy told me.
I just loved Glad stance though. I always played Prot to do as much damage as possible and felt like a true Warrior. With Glad stance you could do that finally. There is nothing better than doing huge damage with a Shield.

Mortal Strike + Warbringer will be fun for some, and not so fun for others.
That’s a great question! I’ve heard some really good things about Shaman tanks, but have yet to try them out myself. The paladin toolkit is also looking pretty beastly across the board. Rogues, I feel haven’t really come into their own as tanks in P1 (I haven’t played one so I really don’t know, but from what I’ve seen/run with in BFD, most MTs have been paladins, but this is also partially because the warriors that want to tank, seem to also want to put their talent points into the protection tree, and the ones who would actually be beast tanks just want to pump).
Physical DPS will always reign in era.
So warrior is the answer then, and maybe rogue. Thanks all!

Unpopular opinion maybe but I think Druid is being slept on in phase 2.
