So is it going to be
- Lag fest this evening?
- Bug fest , can’t play?
- Smooth sailing?
- Other?
So is it going to be
Hard for me to imagine it being a lag fest
Bug fest has the potential every new patch/release
I’m more on the smooth sailing camp personally but time will tell
With prepatch being it seems like 2 months of patches and slow rolling the new systems I’m hoping it’ll be smooth sailing but we all know blizz so it might be crapfest.
I’m guessing this. As I’m reading it on community boards most people didn’t buy the extra 3 days. So I think the next 3 days will be smooth, then once the full community joins it’ll be a mild version of the chaos were used to because some of the people that paid for the 3 days will be starting to come down on their mountain dew binge and logging off.
I hope the mass majority didn’t pay the absurd extra price. It’s pretty greedy and unacceptable for a subscription based game to create an early access up charge and sad they were able to do it scotch free with zero push back.
No shot it isnt 1&2.
There is a happy medium between your response and theirs.
But 30 bucks is super minimal, if you have principles against it they also offer other things in the 30 dollar extra package.
If other people are buying it’s their prerogative, making fun of people spending money how they want is just childish/jealous or both.
Calling it now. WOD 2.0 on launch. On the bright side, if the launch is WOD 2.0 then there’s a very good chance this expac will be a banger.
I call the opposite, every future expansion could have the 3 extra days and their performance this launch depends on it. They have a lot riding on the success of this launch above and beyond the normal expansion. Plus the staggered opening day results in less significant population spikes.
If there is any justice in this terrible world the servers will be ddos’d into oblivion for the duration of “early access”.
It’s really frustrating for sure. Don’t get me wrong, I bought it because I can afford it and it makes my life way easier. I’m part of the problem.
I think they do a good job of delaying the season start so no one gets so disproportionately ahead in terms of pve/pvp.
However, for things like professions, getting early access can literally be tens of millions of gold.
I think there are pros, in that it staggers release traffic, and it gives time to freely level for people who want to “main” more than one class. However, I think these things are less considered than just the “we can get bomus dollarydoos”
Is it “scotch free” or “scott free”? Genuinely asking.
I mean if you look at it that way then blizz is terrible. I bought the deluxe edition because it came with a lvl 70 boost a month of free game time and some welfare mounts. The early access was a bonus to me. I don’t have as much time as other folks but I was able to squeeze some time in this weekend to no life it on a few toons. All in all even if it’s buggy I got what I paid for so I’m not upset.
Couple things I would never knock someone for spending their money how they want. The early access smoothing out launch is true yes but about 4ish days worth is way too much on top of that taking up the entire weekend and letting the rest of the peons have at it on a Monday. All your points are fair, I just stand by a subscription based game shouldn’t be handing out gamer ultimatums and further milking its base.
And the “Scot-free” thing i thought was scotch well you learn new things everyday they say
This is true.
Going to be smooth because noones dishing out 150$ for 3 day early lol
It’s like $25 extra for some cosmetics and early access. ![]()
I think they gonna see a huge spike in sales Friday night into the weekend
I bought the upgrade w/ 900k gold. Had a million saved from playing the ah back in BC.
You can turn your money into xpacs?
I don’t think I’ve payed for a single expansion since WoD. I don’t even grind gold, just do w/e daily alt minimal effort gold making any given expansion has had (like class mission tables, daily crafts, weekly soup event ect)
