Isn’t she just some crazy lady that wants Azeroth eaten like other places rather than serving him directly? I could have missed it though.
Need alleria windrunner go mad with the void, and consume her son and husband and have some dark berserk style eclipse lore to properly set up the void as a threat for the midnight expac.
My guess is Midnight for Iridikron.
If you paid attention, the Dimensious we killed in Netherstorm was only a small sliver of the actual entity.
He destroyed Karesh. He’s not just some void walker.
Something in the crystal, probably whatever is forcing it to shift to void like a fragment of a void lord or the blackblood coalescing
Her prophetic title is literally “Harbinger”.
She’s definitely playing a long game.
If you die on his boss fight, you don’t die. You’re just put on your own floating wheelchair.
I think we’ll fight Xal’atath but lose and thus brings on “Midnight”
Not gonna lie. I feel like her being offed would be a good way to get some character development out of turalyon.
Iridikron didn’t care about Xal’atath, he just tossed her the Dark Heart and said he has better things to do. Remember, she needed him to do something for her, so she owes him something. She’s most likely the last boss in WW with Iridikron being the last boss in Part 2.
Wotlk: Makes arthas the actual final boss.
Cata: Makes deathwing the actual final boss.
Mop and beyond: No one knows who the final boss is.
T2 will be Jastor Gallywix
Because the next patch is Undermine.
We sort of “know” that we’re not going to “win” this expansion. The void does. We’ll either fight some aspect or avatar of the Harbinger, or something she summons which catalyzes the void catastrophe we’ll be enduring in Midnight. It’s probable we literally haven’t met the “last boss” of THIS expansion, though it’s equally probable Xal’Atath either is the last boss or, summoner of some void lord who will be the last boss of the entire World Soul Saga.
With those (possibly wrong) assumptions as my base, I think what we see is Xal’Atath creates a fifth old god from the mixed blood of the slain 4, and it wins, either directly or through some Harbinger trickery in getting us to slay it for Reasons TM. It takes over Azeroth and Midnight will be us surviving and fighting back against what is essentially a second Black Empire that she’s establishing on the planet.
All I can say is that the dragons better show up again when we go after Iridikron.
He’s their problem that we made our own. They better help out.
SL was pretty clear on who would round off the expansion.
Legion kind of was, though we didn’t wind up fighting him directly.
And for that reason we must unite the elves. Idk why, but that’s the reason.
Pretty easy sliver
Plus who hasn’t destroyed a planet at this point, low threat easy solod
As long as Alexstrasza actually does something in her Aspect form this time around, I’d be cool with that. Switching in and out needlessly in the middle of a conflict annoyed me. lol
So you think we will fight her once or twice among the World Soul Saga Expansions? Because fighting her at the end of this expansion and then midnight would be redundant. Unless you think midnight will have another completely final boss.
That’s an impressive memory you got there. I can’t remember what I ate for dinner yesterday, much less the specifics of a random quest from 15+ years ago.
