I don’t understand the forum shadenfreude over covenants. Half is so happy the other side is mad about not being able to easily switch. It’s kind of mentally sick. Me, I have no intention of ever switching, each of them is tailored to particular race/class combos for me, but I’m not going to say “yay no switching” because honestly it wouldn’t matter worth a damn whether everyone else switched or not, I still wouldn’t.
“Meaningful choice” doesn’t exist in this game. There are correct answers, and answers born of some combination of ignorance and stubbornness. I can’t even fathom how “you can’t be optimal at everything” is some kind of positive mantra like it’s good for the game. You should be good at whatever content you put your time into, huge effing duh.
And this will still be the case, because the AoE cap is partial. Multiple classes can get around it, and it will be same situation of haves and have nots.
Except for the fact that some classes still have uncapped AoE.
This is great until your raid is wiping and the difference of covenants makes or beraks the kill. This breakpoint will probably hit around mid mythic. For M+, it will be demanded for rating farms.
Somebody like Preach likely makes more money than you do, speaking statistically. The value of human labor has been dropping like a rock for the past 30~ years. He provides entertainment to a massive audience, people consume it, and he gets paid for it. If you think he’s doing it for free, you’re delusional.
If a job like streaming pays 6 figures, but it’s off the cuff, and you work an office job for 40k a year, what’s the deal? Why is the job that pays more, that has more reach and influence over more people, not a real job?
He’s speaking for a large volume of the playerbase.
He’s not speaking for you as an individual, he’s speaking from the intermediate to high end community as a whole. There are massive swaths of the playerbase that are going to be imediately affected by a lot of the negatives to Shadowlands, and a lot of people below those people are going to be affected by the social metagame being defined by top players.
…or you know, people will just roll 4 copies of the same class.
There will ALWAYS be an optimal route and style of gameplay. In this case, it’s super degenerative but it exists. And it means, people will actually find a BiS for a particular kind of content.
That’s kind of an argument for being able to swap covenants, or just covenant abilities not existing entirely. Some class/covenant combinations are so broken that you might not be able to make up the difference if all other factors are equal or close to equal.
I’m so glad that you are thinking now. And glad you are looking forward to it.
You keep making my point for me no matter what you do or say every darn reply you do to me.
No matter your take or your perspective. You will always have someone not agree or happy with you. So the voting system is pointless. In other words, your post are right to you, and his is right to him. So no matter what your two cents is on the game or shadowland you will get down voted.
I mean that is common sense, and glad I could teach you.
??? i answer you clearly. You just don’t like the answer and deflect. classic Timbaeslice i guess, but I had to go back to see who you are to even notice what you do. I forgot all about you.
? He proved my point and the people who called it out still making my point. That was 4d chess played and to this day you keep proving my point on what the community does. Heh, thank you.
You have got to watch negative amounts of preach to think he plays WoW for money lol.
WoW being bad actually increases his view content because people want to hear the opinion of someone who raids high end mythic level. WoW being bad is good for business, he just wants a fun game.
