Pre-purchase of War Within did not give Trader's Tender

I pre-purchased War Within, and did not (yet) receive the Trader’s Tender. I DID receive the Hearthstone Effect/Toy, Level 70 boost, pet, and mount. Haven’t seen mention whether the tender comes later maybe?

Thanks

With everyone rushing to buy things, it’s likely just hung up a bit. I’d suggest to give it some time. If you’ve not received it within 24 hours, please come back and say so, and we’ll try and get it to a ticket for ya.

I would like a clarification on the tendies as well.

1 Battle.Net account, 3 wow accounts.

I bought:

1 x Epic Edition (1000 tendies)
2 x Base Editions (2 x 500 tendies)

I would think I would get 2000 tendies, but I only received 1000. Do the additional purchases not count?

they’re account-wide currency.

you can apply currency once, not 3 times.

I don’t see that mentioned anywhere in the product description. What I see is that the base edition comes with 500, heroic comes with 750, and epic comes with 1000. I spent $189.97 buying 3 copies (1 epic and 2 base), and thus should receive 2000 (1000 + 2 x 500). I definitely do not see any mention of what you just said in any footnote, etc.

And obviously I’m not talking about the 1000 you earn in game monthly. Obviously that’s battle.net account wide. I’m talking about items that are listed in the description as part of the purchase of a product.

Update got my boost

Same issue which I feel is not right, but I do understand it.

If they did that then $50 = 500 tenders which would destroy the system because people with too much money and not enough sense would jut buy as many as they wanted.

As I said in the ticket I opened, simply add a foot note like there is on the other items and there would be no confusion. But the way it stands (as of right now), there is no footnote and thus it still feels misleading.

GMs don’t make the decisions on what goes on that page.

Same here. I bought an epic edition last week, got all the goodies and yesterday upgraded another WoW account on the same Battle.net account and didn’t get any currency. I did get the character boost on both upgraded WoW accounts though. Read through all the fine print and didn’t see anywhere that you can only get the reward once. If that’s the case, I would have just done a base upgrade. I know it won’t happen, but it would be nice if Blizzard gave me what I paid for.

Well I see this below the buy button:

  • Upgrading to the Heroic or Epic Edition will not re-grant in-game items previously unlocked on your account. Trader’s Tender is granted only once per Battle.net® account and region upon first purchase of each edition, at a maximum of 1000 Tender from Epic.

What you could do is since your purchase was just only yesterday, check if you’re eligible for a refund through the automated refund system and if not, ticket them explaining the ‘mistake’.

Don’t wait too long as time is important if noticing a ‘mistake’. Then buy only the base edition for your other accounts if you want.

Yes, that paragraph is showing up on my Battle.net launcher now. I read through all that prior to my purchase yesterday and didn’t see it. Of course, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t there; I could have just missed it. I’m just going to forget about it since I did get the character boost both times and that’s what I really was paying extra for. Thanks.

Well the base edition also grants the Boost in question and the money saved means you can buy some other things… Just sayin’ in these times of inflation.

This was only recently added. I’ve been asking for this to be added since the day it was launched as without it, it wasn’t very clear and was indeed VERY misleading.

Still isn’t very clear. I’m reading it as you can buy every addition one time each for 500, 750, and 1000.
