Pre Purchase of Dragonflight Epic Edition instantly activate sub?

As the title says, when you pre-purchase Dragonflight epic edition, does the subscription instantly activate?

I want to pre purchase the epic edition but don’t want to have an active sub until a month or two and don’t want to waste the sub that comes with it.

The game time is added almost instantly. Usually within 24 hours. If it doesn’t add it, then open a ticket for purchase failure.

the game time is applied, you cannot hold on to it.
