So rumor has it, pre patch is next week since the maintence is for 8 hours. dont know if its true, what are some of your guys opinions on when pre patch will come?

I heard the same thing through the grapevine last week.
Look how true that was.
They definitely could, but I sincerely doubt Blizzard is going to drop the prepatch with 0 announcement.
And it definitely isn’t going to be this Tuesday since they’re stopping realm transfers on the 30th and the snapshot of characters won’t happen until after that and prepatch after that.

That one troll aside this is the most accurate response here.
There’s datamined strings that put the “snapshot date” at May 18th. Given there’d be issues with stuff like loot drops if the snapshot was week(s) before prepatch, May 18th is the most likely date right now for prepatc.
So if we want to transfer a character to another server we need to do that before April 30?
