I’m making this thread to compile some of the reports I’ve seen of reset reputations since 11.0 and to summarize the issue and the information I’ve seen about it. I apologise if this isn’t the right forum for this, but insofar as it seems like the bug has been fixed but there are still players affected in the aftermath, I feel like issue has moved out of bug territory and into the realm of customer support.
Edit: this was pretty much immediately moved from Customer Support to Bug Report, so my assertion that this doesn’t really seem to fall into Bug Report territory was evidently wrong. I’m not sure what to make of that other than that a direct response seems unlikely.
Shortly after the release of the pre-patch, reports started to bubble up about a few different reputation issues. Among them was an issue in which certain faction reps would be reset to neutral for a character, and would sometimes continue to reset. Affected reputations included Honorbound, the Alliance Vanguard reps, Unshackled/Waveblade Ankoan, etc – all reputations with an opposite faction counterpart.

After a couple of weeks, this support article was updated with the following text:
A situation where reputations which have a direct correlation on the opposite faction (such as Battlegrounds factions) are reset to neutral. A hotfix is planned for this issue and it should be resolved for players logging in after that fix soon. Investigations are ongoing for players who experienced the issue and need their reputations fixed.
Based on more recent threads and replies, it seems as though a hotfix did go live to address these issues, and that reputations are no longer being reset. So, to my eyes, it seems the bug reports did what they needed to and have led to a fix which has prevented reputations from continuing to reset.
This Blue post on the EU Customer Support forums may substantiate this, as the category of reps affected by this particular issue is not listed among the reps for which there are still open issues:
However, the support article I linked earlier has not been updated since, and I have not seen or heard of any instances of lost reputations actually being restored.
This is pretty much all the information I’ve managed to scrounge up about the issue.
Every few days, I see a new thread in the Bug Report forum or see an old one bumped (either by someone new who’s just now realizing they lost their rep or by someone old who’s posting to say “yep, still neutral”).
The guidance from tickets has been to submit bug reports. At this point, is that still the correct course of action? Is there anything else we can do to provide information in the event that some kind of automated restoration is being worked on? It feels like we’re in a weird limbo where the bug has been addressed but the problems caused by the bug have not.
