RP servers generally have substantially lower populations, if they include an RP server, it’ll be dead regardless.
Its hard to say how they’ll do fresh. I’d imagine that they’ll have one of each type for each region, but only for PvE and PvP.
They support countries with human rights struggles while also supporting diversity and inclusion.

RP is very small. Just make one PvE and one PvP and let Rpers pick if they wanna do either. Splitting up an already tiny group ain’t worth its own servers imo.

The simplest answer is usually the correct one.
Welcome to classic, where you got 1 week max before a patch or arena season got announced - let alone specifics. Expect to only find out the names when they launch.

They will make more servers than needed intentionally. The thinner the pops the better for them, for in 3 months they can get a bunch of server xfer revenue.
There’s also several dead/dying low pop servers still around that never got merged in the consolidation. Excess servers and dead servers is just more xfer revenue for blizz.

Fresh server should have 20 layers on 1st day.
Hopefully today they’ll bring up some stuff along with the maintenance.

Please let it only be 1 fresh server per region…
At the maximum most 2, but releasing only one either pvp/PvE would fix the problem with the faction balancing and would ensure the server stays healthy without the need of opening transfers.
Any more than 2 servers per region would make them DOA. Please blizzard you MUST have learnt from you past mistakes, don’t make them again

Hopefully this time for me if I get this name, it won’t be on a server where the Alliance dies out and the name is wasted =(

Wouldn’t be any different with name reservations, which is probably why they aren’t doing it.
They’ve done name reservations both times new servers opened (Classic and SoM). No reason not to do it this time around.
