Pre Expansion Mess

I just purchased an upgrade, and it destroyed my action bar and I can no longer fly. Is this supposed to be an improvement for my benefit?

Everyone’s talents got reset due to the amount of talent tree changes that came with today’s patch.

Only changes with flying are the level to unlock it went down iirc.

Also it has taken away some of my spells/weapons and took away the means to restore them. Other people are complaining about not being able to fly. And my talent tree won’t let me update because I don’t have enough points or credit or whatever.

When u open mount menu youbcan change from dragon riding to normal riding.

Thanks, Darthwraith, did that and it restored everything back to the way it was.

For your talent issues try to make a new talent build and manually put the talents in. I had to do that since it seemed to have ghost points in my half reset build.

Can’t import talent builds anymore, that functionality is completely broken. And yes, that’s AFTER making new builds after the reset. Which means…I can’t play any of my alts. I am NOT manually putting talent points in, I would rather not play at all.

Guess I’ll give it a couple more days, the game is not in an even remotely playable state right now.

EDIT: I’ve heard that the bug only affects shaman, figures.

Weird. I know you cannot use the old strings, but I was able to use the new one from wowhead for rogue. There is a short maintenance today maybe it will fix some of the big things like that.

I just did it fine on my shaman. o_o

Just did starter build, it loaded, then I started messing with it

Starter build works. If you create a build, copy it, and try to import it on a shaman (any spec), you get the error. Does seem to only be shaman, I haven’t gotten the error on other classes.

A couple of specs (off the top of my head Enhance and Ret as examples) had the wrong tree show up in game yesterday, which is probably related.

I never played dragonflight or learned dragonriding. Does that mean I just can’t fly ever again?

No. Dragonflight will likely be rolled into the base game, like all other expansions, so you will have access. If not this patch, definitely around launch. You’ll have the ability to switch back and forth between Skyriding and Steady Flight*.

However, if you decide to give Skyriding a try, it is a lot easier after picking up all the glyphs on the Dragon Isles (more coming with the expansion).

(*-Steady Flight on Khaz Algar needs the Pathfinder achievement. But it’s available everywhere else.)
