Hey everyone! After months of work, I’ve (finally) completed the purple Plaguebringer set from the Darkshore warfront!
I’ve been really wanting to try and get into Forsaken RP and figured I’d come here for help. I plan on making a Warlock but that’s where I hit a wall. I’m not sure if I want my character to be ICly a Warlock, if I want to make him a Necromancer, or try something else along those lines. I definitely want him to be an Apothecary with the Royal Apothecary Society as part of his character.
Does anyone here with experience in Forsaken RP have any suggestions or input at all? Input from anyone else is more than welcome too! Would love to hear any thoughts or criticism about the idea.
Since Zheco is handling the important part of your question…if you want some extra hype for SL, you should check out the Castle Nathria cloth set coming in SL
Great mix/match pieces are coming for clothies that enjoy alchemy!
Welcome to the Forsaken community, brother in death!
First of all, I want to reiterate what my fellows have said - Undercity United is a great discord! Join us!
Second of all, there’s an active Royal Apothecary Society guild! While ICly I don’t think they like the Knights of Lordaeron Unbound too much ( ) OOCly they’re a bunch of really great people and I’ve immensely enjoyed my interaction with them. Maybe they’d be a great fit for your character
Third of all, regarding your concept, I’d suggest it depends on your backstory and motives! A warlock could be really fun, but it depends on your reasons for doing it, you know? Why did your character seek the fel? Personal power? Simply something to master in the wake of the Legion’s defeat? Maybe it helped their apothecary elixlirs? Maybe demons just made HELLA good assistants. There’s a lot of warlock apothecaries, it makes total sense.
The same deal with a necromancer too - it could work in a variety of ways depending on your motives. Most Forsaken won’t approve of a Scourge-esque necromancer who just raises corpses to throw at his enemies, as free will is a pretty big deal in Forsaken society (see the Warden Stillwater quests in Hillsbrad Foothills, where he’s condemned to death for his experiments creating mindless undead.) But a necromancer who’s in it for creating new Forsaken, extending their longevity, maybe even helping fix Forsaken with spare parts, they’d be VERY welcome.
Really man, I’ve no further input than that. Do what works best for you, and what excites you the most!
Hmmm… If I’m struggling with a character (do I want it to be like this, or like that?) then I find that simply jumping in to RP with others is a great way to figure it out.
Whatever comes naturally through the interactions is probably what you should do. If you’re at the Sepulcher and it just simply feels like the character is a Necromancer, then go with that.
Hell, I’m still figuring out my death knight and I’ve had him for months!
Ah, Sarestha. Don’t read into that so much. You’ve only ICly interacted with me and Ethyl’s a horrible person.
OOCly we are two sides of the same coin. I harbor no ill-will towards you and yours. We’re all Forsaken here, and I am sure many folks in RAS would adore you if given a chance to meet you.
Forsaken must remain united. Even if you and me have IC disagreements.
I was jesting, hence the for the record what I said was relevant purely to differing IC perspectives. OOCly I think RAS is great, which is why I recommended you all so highly.
But agreed, we’re all united! Forsaken have got to stick together!
